Gor Mahia vs KCB friendly canceled

The build up match between Gor Mahia and KCB that was scheduled for Wednesday evening at 4 pm has been canceled.

“KCB did not show their willingness to take part in the friendly for understandable reasons and we can’t play without opponents.” Gor Mahia’s Assistant Coach Frank Ouna said according to the club’s site.

The withdrawal of KCB denies fans an opportunity to watch the new players in action.

Oboya Joins Tusker

Patrick Oboya who has been playing for Gor Mahia for the past two seasons has signed a three year contract at Tusker. Oboya joined Gor Mahia in 2013 but has been far from the form that saw him earn a contract in the Czech league. He has been plagued by injuries and has missed much of the past two seasons.

Cancellation makes a lot of sense, just three days into training with 20 players and you call a friendly ……? Even the coach does not know the name of the players and who plays where…..

Nevertheless, I don’t expect any top tier side to play friendly with gor mahia so I guess we have settle for the usual suspects- moyas, nakumatt, administration police, zoo fc and the likes.

This time I want to see serious thrashing…am talking 5-0 as the minimum.

jakoyo@1…lets not set any conditions for the team..its just a friendly.let them work on combinations that will suit them over the season.undue pressure at this time is uncalled for!!

@Jakoyo, I thought this time we are finishing No 9. What has changed to warrant a 5-0 minimum thrashing? By the way, are you now comfortable with Frank N. If so, what has changed?

@Jokoyo, this guy is not a true fan of Gor Mahia. It is in record that we too have criticised the Executive Committee but we have also provided some proposals that can be pursued to make the club a better club.

We as fans and bloggers should learn to appreciate the Executive Committee where they are doing well and this will give the stakeholders more encouragement and impetus to move the club forward and far beyond.

@ Mwakio thank you for being objective. learning to appreciate is even healthy to an individual. It raises the spirit of optimism and not sarcasm that always leaves one sad and bitter. I am therefor encouraged to criticize as well as suggest ideas.

Fan misbehaviour last weekend may have cost the club again. Rachier better start looking for ways to pay the players he has just signed. What happened to the SACCO business? It was supposed to start on Dec 28.

DID I JUST SAY COACH DOES NOT KNOW HIS PLAYERS ?

@pmawengo,Newly signed Gor Mahia duo of James Ohawa and Farouk Ssentongo has been reportedly dropped by Gor Mahia ahead of the 2015 season.

The two are part of the 17 players that were unveiled by Gor on Thursday 8 January at the club offices at Nyayo Stadium as the club plans for the 2015 season where they will take part in the CAF Champions League, Kenya Premier League among other competitions.

    Evaluation

Coach Nutall had training sessions with the players from Monday 12 and after evaluating all his players recommended that the two be dropped by the team saying that they not fit in his 2015 plans

-The coach evaluated the squad and recommended that the two be released, he says the two are too slow and lazy thus falling short of the coach’s expectations and will not fit in his 2015 plans. He has requested that players from the under 19 team be promoted to the senior team to fill the two slots left by the duo, a source from the club revealed.

    Rodriguez dropped

This is not the first time Gor has axed a newly signed player, in January 2012 then Gor Mahia coach Zdravko Logarusic axed Brazilian striker Giovanni Rodriguez saying he was not fit to play for Gor Mahia.

Ohawa is a Kenyan striker while Ssentongo is a Ugandan attacking midfielder.

Who signed the two players? The involved officials and brokers should be sanctioned and the official should be fired.

Now we’ve a real coach who want to see his players play with speed & work hard. not lazy boys who will not add value to his career. I dont know how Abondo survived the cut bcos he is also a lazy guy. Now all the remaining players must know that it will not be business as usual.

Oswozo There was a multitude of people wearing GM jerseys not behaving properly. This was widely reported in the papers. The Standard specifically said GM fans were misbehaving at Fidel’s funeral. People do not understand that when they wear the jersey, their behaviour reflects on the club.

there was nothing like gor mahia fans misbehaving, those were mourners from bondo who were not happy seeing omamo’s daughter reading the president’s massage. give us a break with negative opinions a bout the team. on this one, big up EC. m glad that Olunga has joined the team he supports, and I like the lad. blessed
