Rwandan Jacques Tuyisenge and Ivorian Ephram Guikan will not travel to South Africa after they were denied visas

Gor Mahia will have to navigate their return leg of Caf Confederation Cup minus two strikers.

Rwandan Jacques Tuyisenge and Ivorian Ephram Guikan will not travel to South Africa after they were denied visas. Another player Francis Kahata could also miss out after his passport was turned down for having only two pages.

South African embassy is demanding for a one year work permit for Tuyisenge and Guikan while Kahata was asked to present a new passport.

“We will miss the services of Tuyisenge and Guikan. They have been denied visas because they cannot produce one year work permit.

“For Kahata, we managed to get a new passport for him and returned his papers are now waiting to see if they will give him the same,” Gor Mahia CEO Omondi Aduda told Goal on Tuesday.

On Monday, Gor Mahia were forced to postpone their trip to Pretoria citing frustration from the embassy.

“We are in bad shape making it hard for the team to fly to South Africa for the Caf Confederation Cup return leg planned for April 18, 2018,” confirmed secretary Ben Omondi in a statement obtained by Goal.

“We have done all within our means to get all travel documentations right in good time but things are not working as scheduled thus our travel to Pretoria is postponed.”

Tuyisenge scored Gor Mahia’s goal against the South African side during the first leg played at Machakos.

This rests squarely on the EC. Lack of foresight or just not being proactive. Am disappointed

The moment we qualified for this match after Esperance, what were they doing up to now? Just what were the EC doing? Just asking!! South African visa conditions have not been invented today, not for Gor Mahia. Who didn’t know the requirements? Some people do not deserve to hold certain positions, AT ALL. And for one official to attempt to heap blame on another is silly to say the least.

I am still hopeful though even without the three players, I AM HOPEFUL.

    • Be positive for once, you risk exhibiting the negativity in your general life. All sports in Kenya struggle for many reasons including fans who do nothing for the club other than to complain. They do not go to the stadium, buy fake replica jerseys and does not participate in any club activities, all they do is complain

Is Rachier telling us that Omondi Aduda is the only competent CEO he could find?
This looks like corruption. That man is flat out incompetent. I hope he is not being payed a monthly salary to exhibit such incompetence.

Methinks AR and his entire team have outlived their usefulness, they will never move kogalo forward by professionalizing GMFC, they are so narrow minded, winning the KPL is where the brains end Sorry to say this, I wish we are eliminated coz it will be a disaster , afro cinema if we happen to bag that 27m.For Mr.Handshakes also think its a high time he ceases being the club patron, its an embarrassment if sonko can buy tickets for the club you patron. All our nyanza MPs, Senators,MCA,S, all kogalo fans of all ranks me included SHAME ON US.

    • If by chance Kogalo proceeds to group stage ( Money stage ) Players must be assured of more and better allowances, possibly 50 percent of 27 million or else they down their tools for the official to go and play , as a fun, i am not happy with the way the club is being handled. If we can miss, tuyisenge & Guikan during the second leg in South Africa, and Gor Mahia is not recognized as a club representing the County Kenya by failing to offer them Air tickets, i cant believe both my ears & eyes and may God forbid. This is pure politics. Nick mwendwa should as well expect a big fight during the next election . We are closely watching. In case it was Sharks FC , he would have done otherwise.

I have always said that we are never serious with our issues. You want to tell me non of our big politicians Patron included didn’t know the club had problems acquiring tickets to south Africa.
You will only see them come to share the fame when the club has performed and won atrophy.
I pray and wish the club victory in South Africa

  • Blundering Buffoons. At the very least CEO Aduda must be shown the door for this costly ameteurish administrative goof. I have always claimed that a Mugabe led EC is never interested in a serious CAF campaign, sadly such sabotage bear me out. It simply derails their opaque and selfish financial objectives but even i never expected them to stoop so low. Luckily TB, players, most fans and other stakeholders hunger for footballing success. That hunger and prayers may see us to the CCC group stage. God Bless Gor Mahia.

Why apply for visas last minute? why did the officials not inquire about requirements early enough?

Entire GM officials are sleeping on the job

    Something is wrong somewhere. …..
I think its by design. ..Aol.
Somebody must be thinking that the club belongs to some people and the rest has no day.
From today henceforth I can authoritatively say that the entire office does not have the club in their heart’s and they don’t care about the players welfare at all.
They think that this great club is their property and players are their children. They should know that the players are not playing for them…Ojoga ka ngat mane okwalo kuch Baba.

This has nothing to do with Nick Mwendwa bt all to do with incompetent almighty and the entire EC plus the aloof patron. On the hand u can’t blame the patron 100% coz in GMFC to be a patron you must be strategic in your contributions otherwise bonoko almighty and his team would milk you dry while their accounts are fattening. The 4 or 5 officials with arrest warrants over their heads, hakuna vile wanaeza fungwa, God I ask

  • Nick Mwendwa is the president of Football Kenya federation. All the clubs representing the county are under him, not only Harambee stars. Even if the money he was given by the Government was not meant to by Gor Mahia Ticket, he ought to advise for the next step when a club representing the county is in Crises. He should not through his hands saying that the money he was given was not for buying Gor mahia Tickets to South Africa. That is irresponsible . As an official he will never count on my Vote

We have a big problem with our EC. Mara Nyangi with her rants without thinking till now Kerr does not want to see her anywhere near the team, mara gate collections are gone, mara visa hitches as if we didn’t know a month ago that we will go to SA etc etc I think it’s time we professionalize the EC and the club ownership as well. We shout that the club is ours but are not ready to assist when it’s needed. The Luo leaders really let the team down. Shame on them. Yet when the team wins they are in the forefront for photo ops
