Kiongera set to rejoin KCB

courtesy of futaa.com

Harambee Stars striker Paul Mungai Kiongera is set to rejoin Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side KCB FC.

This has been confirmed by the Head Coach Juma Abdallah who says Kiongera’s return will be a big boost.

-He has trained with us for the past three days and though he is yet to return to his best, I’m very happy he chose to return, Juma told futaa.com,

-He was not happy at Gor Mahia and complained of being played out of position but here (KCB) we understand him better and I’m sure all will be well,

Keli

-We lost a good striker, Jacob Keli, and with return of Kiongera I’m very happy as the forward line is now covered, he added.

Kiongera joined Gor Mahia in a one-year loan deal that lapsed at the end of the 2013 season.

“Dube” set to join Thika United

Experienced midfielder Moses Dube Odhiambo formerly with Gor Mahia may play for Thika United during the 2014 season after unconfirmed reports indicated that he has penned a deal.

The offensive player has been linked with the move to The Brookside Boys exactly a month since being dropped by the current Kenyan Premier League [KPL] champions Gor Mahia.
Experience
If signed, Odhiambo will become Thika United’s second major signing this transfer window after former Karuturi Sport keeper Michael Wanyika penned a deal earlier in the year.
Thika United targets to bring in lots of young talent coupled with a number of experienced players after losing key midfielder Clifton Miheso during the current transfer window.

  • it was said that kiongera is in gm but what are these that are coming from the KCB coach may one shade more light on this.

Good riddance for Kiongera. He was supposed to have released back to the lender long time ago when 2014 season was over. Always misfiring and selfish. Not a team player.

It serves GM better to let go of an unsettled player and MK to have his place where he feels well understood. On the finance report, i can not bury my head in the sand and justify absurdity of 9m gate collection report NO. Those who support re election of the current office holders need to put across other pretence coz justif ying that report and hoodwinking us that GM activities were financed from people’s pockets makes it even more ridiculous.

Kiongera take this opportunity to thank you for your input to the club and i wish you the best. It is the right decision for you taking into consideration the kind of players Gor has recruited. Sticking around would have rolled back your intention to bounce back to earn regular play.
I feel that decision is good for club and player. You have to work on your teamwork and skills which had deeped. Indeed we have more than capable players to fill and surpass him, Blackberry, Kenga, Wanyonyi, Oboya, Kizito, Eric, Oboya, Obwoge, Rama etc .

Most of those players voltage mentioned may soon leave the club. There are people on 6 month contract. There are others who always have one leg outside the door. This is a worrying trend.

And Kiongera was a good player who could be counted on to score goals. People seem to forget some of the classy goals he scored during the 1st leg.

And we really do not know how good blackberry is. Maybe he is not the same Blackberry of 2010. As for Oboya, he is always injured.

I think GM neeeded Kiongera for the simple reason that there are many games to be played this year and we may have injuries.

I am also concerned about how casual GM are about contracts. Had this guy signed a contract or not ?

If he had signed, then he should never be released for him to go and tell KCB all training strategies of Gor Mahia.

If his contract had not been renewed and there was a chance he would leave, then they should not have announced that he had signed. I am not sure he should even have trained with the team knowing that he had been thinking of going back to KCB

Kiongera was on loan n has opted nt to mk the deal permanent so no reason to blame anyone. The guy never settled at Gor. My hunch is Kiongera is afraid to compete for a starting berth considering the galaxy of talent on parade. Why didn’t he go bk immediately the league ended? He ws wt the team in Loitoktok why the sudden change of heart. Could it be tht he hs already seen BW’s likely starting 11 n found he may warm the bench 4 another season ?All the best to him.

    @Simeon
GM officials announced that Kiongera had renewed his contract. And his name has even been forwarded to CAF. Remember they had also announced that Lavatsa had renewed his contract. Who are we to believe ?

Until a player steps on the field in a GM uniform, we dont know. The fact that he is in camp means nothing.

Bloggers let us be sober,do you remember Amrouche talking about this player sometimes back ,that he had organised for him another team in germany but it was injuries that destroyed the deal. The guy is the second on line in Amrouches list after Lavatsa, that is why he could not renew his contract because hell could break loose for amrouche if he can sell two of gor mahia dependable players consecutively. It is just my guess that it is the advice from Amrouche so that he can take it with ease from the other side any time he wants him.The boy is a good player and he knows that by renewing his contract in gor mahia he will not be released easily.Mark my words the guy is following Lavatsa very soon.Secondly the guy may also be fearing tough competition in the team,in gor mahia know only the tough and best performers will survive, so he may be fearing the fate of his career .Thirdly gor mahia officials must be very careful with this national team coach AMROUCHE.The guy is abroker and most of gor mahia players are in his list of sell.AKUMU,MUSA,OWINO are also in his list so the officials must be very careful with him or else i see gor mahia remaining without good players in the name of the broker Amrouche.

Broker amorouche , will snap all the local talent away from the Kenyan league at zero cost! No fee to the clubs developing this players. In as much as this guy is good he should be cautioned that player development costs and transfer fees must be paid to local clubs otherwise our clubs will perish. He will enrich himself at the expense of local clubs.

there is no guarantee in football tht if you buy a good player he will deliver the results. As for kiongera, we will regret this move because we are not sure how shaban kenga and George blackberry will fair in the absence of also lavatsa. Remember oboya is still recuperating, If kenga and blackberry turn out to be a disaster and jared omwenga does not fit , we are in for a tough 1st half of the season, sometimes it is better the devil you know than the angel you keep hearing.

@Jakoyo this. kiongera was in Gor last season .what value did he add to the team when sserre was on true trials in fact if you watch kenga playing he is far much better than him. The boy was a burden 1 year without something to celebrate about him. To me I will never miss him&Lavatsa.

Iamnot worried whether they are on 6months contract or not rather am glad they are with the team for now. To the player it makes business sense to have shorter contracts if you are eyeing moving to the bigged leagues. I cannot start judging why they are not on longer contracts coz am not in a position to know the circumstances after all we are in transition and players are not sure of what is ahead.
My prayer and faith is that God will see us through, thats a YES for me. This club has gone thru alot from those days when i would leave work to come to the stadium to assist raise fare for the players after training to now where things are looking up. I will not complain like the rest but put my faith in God who will see us through.

Our fans should know that Kiongera was on a one year loan which expired in December. One thing was obvious in that the player was not decided or had promised the EC members that he would sign hence the reason his name was submitted to CAF. What I know is that his potential was there but his presence was not felt at Gor. When Danny was AWOl or injured the team suffered with his like on board, not taking that advantage to shine. I pray that he shines at KCB. I also believe that BB, Kenga and Jared will shine since they have the right attitude. One thing we should know is that now whether EC, fans or TB likes it or not a player cannot be forced to sign a contract. So aimlessly blaming the EC for things which even in EPL are happening won’t do.
Just like @Voltage puts it our faith in God will pull us through. We have to believe in this team. It’s all we have as Gor fans

@ voltage you have made me to remember those days my friend,Are you still remembering those days of okumu osoti ,oweje, jabondo lwedo, lwedo, lwedo when we were contributing money for players when they had played for them at least to get something to go with to their houses,Those days when we used to converge next to the car park next to nyayo house at lunch hour to contribute for players,Those days when players could share boots and sheen pads.Bloggers it was really painful to see players with their bags on their back waiting for our conntribution.GOR MAHIA will be there forever players will come and go ,such like times is when gor mahia is always emerging stronger and stronger.club officials can take any two good players in our our under nineteen team and groom in those two chances they have left.but i repeat we should not give this national team broker too much space in gor mahia to the extent of just coming and picking players from our team and selling like that, it will not be good on our side.

@ingo do not bring the practice and tradition of AFC Leopards to Gor Mahia. Gor has got more national appeal as compared to your tribal club. Shut up and remove the log from your eyes. On Kiongera his name was even forwarded to CAF headquarter but decided to go back to his former team.

@ingo I think suck kind of tribal sentiments will not take either you or AFC anywhere. From my own assessment, AFC Leopards is the most tribalistic club in Kenya. This is a team where everyone including officials, players, fans etc just think of Ingo or a small home in western province. Gor Mahia is like a home of refuge to people like Mwakio, Kamau, Sakwa, Nyakundi, Njuguna, Njoronge etc.

@ingo, with your small brain and narrow mind please first correct the happenings at AFC Leopards before removing the log from your neighbor’s eyes.

@ Ingo stop being stupid can you compare gor with your afc leopards concerning tribal issues you are the most tribal club in kenya and that is why you wont match gor mahia in kenyan soccer .Do you know that everything happening in afc leopards is just copy and paste from gor apart from recruitment of players which you dominate so much in uluhya….?i never knew shikokotis sir name until the other day he came to afc is when i realised that he is called imbezi from luhya land shame on you afc people.Gor mahia will always consider performance in the pitch rather than tribe.Mluhya from bungoma ingo you have just woken up and just came direct to gor mahia issues can you go and poke your big mluhya nose in afc issues and again remember to clear the mucus embedding on your brain that can not allow you to think.you concentrate so much in ulhya to the extent that you end up signing WAZEEE WA NJURI NCHEKE IN THE NAME OF ULUHYA.Again afc is the team that is leading in destroying individual talents in the name of uluhya look at ochieng ,ndaisaba, and others that i would not like to mention like omoto not forgeting your village elder masika who has been wasted and you are even ashamed of releasing him because he is a luhya. My friend concentrate na mambo ya uluhya BUNGOMA,MARAGOLI,TIRIKI and the rest in your Afchietha stupid fool.you expect us to hang ourself because kiongera and lavatsa refused to renew their contracts…..?Infact Afc wanted Lavatsa you can take him after coming from algeria atleast gor mahia has made him to be seen and we have no space for him in gor mahia again, in-case he comes back you can take him and add him among your wazee wa njuri ncheke.

They are copy and paste omollo everything gor mahia is doing they must copy just start from the kanzus that the likes of sudi were putting on nowadays they have started coming to stadium with kanzus, the helmets that we used to put on and in fact it started in gor mahia here in kenya, they are there with us know, the creative t shirts of jarunda, they have started coming up with some except that jarunda is more creative than them so they are not creative and cant come up with their own things apart from copy pasting.Again look at the players they heard that we wanted to sign, MUDE they ran there and destroyed everything and in fact they signed him,Again kenga they were really focused on destroying for gor and that is why bandari never wanted to release him, again when they heard that gor wanted to sign Aboud omar they also wanted him,and little did you know that gor wanted to sign kahata and in fact rachier was determined to bring him in gor, they are the people who destroyed the deal with their floating cash and by the end of it they have not signed him. These guys are fake and they will not go anywhere with that attitude.

    @Ingo for the benefit of your sorry self and for th9se who might have been poisoned by your evil thoughts here is a full list of non luo players at Gor mahia. These are players we dont look at them through the lens of the tribe like your sorry self does. Indeed i want to tell bloggers here that we should not think anyminute that this guy is an AFC Leopard fan he could even be one of those gun for hire people who are out to fan tribal tension. I urge fans here not to address him as an AFC fan he cld be an imposter. These players are at Gor not coz of their tribe but their quality and they include;

    Solomon Nasio,Musa Mohamed,Rama Salim,Dan Sserunkuma,Israel Emuge,Innocent Mutiso,Joel Bataro,Joseph Wanyonyi,Joseph Maina,David Juma,Haron Shakava,Godfrey Walusimbi,Jared Omwenga,Shaban Kenga,Godfrey Kizito

The rest of the players who proudly come from the luo community are 10 in number and they too are here coz of their quality and not tribe otherwise we cld have retained the ones we sent packing recently.

now I know most players in Kenya have other considerations other than developing their carries from the decision they make. so we just have to make sure they deliver when we have them or be sent home mid season
