Kogalo fans play pivotal role in victory

Mahakama coach Sammy Omollo, himself a former Gor Mahia player and coach as well as current Gor Mahia coach Gideon Ochieng credited the Kogalo faithful aka the 12th man with playing a key role in the win over Mahakama on Saturday

Its refreshing to see that after all these years, the club still commands a faithful and passionate following. Despite the sub par performance last weekend, fans showed up in large numbers to cheer on Kogalo. Many of them were clad in club jerseys which are now available for sale. Indeed despite the fact that the fact is not scaling the heights of yesteryear, a core set of fans has continued to root on the club and is even more passionate and chorusey than it was in the nineties.

Gor will definately finish in top 5. They need to find their winnings ways early enough than last season.

Gor is yet to get its act right after losing “Pinches” to Supersport United and Nathan Munai to Mahakama…
Its a good thing that Anthony “Teddy” Okumu is getting a regular starting position.
Gor is building a team for the future. It has so many talented youngsters. Infact they might be having the lowest average age in KPL.
John Kiplagat was on the bench but he is also hot like pepper on the pitch.
I am disappointed in Dan Makori and Kevin Omondi. They are yet to realise their full potential. These two boys are the next big thing in Kenyan football in the near future.

There are clubs with not nearly a storied history of fan base as Gor Mahia and are selling replica jerseys online for anywhere between $60 and $100. The club is missing out a huge revenue base by not having an online store where fans can buy merchandise.
