Kogalo fate to be known Friday

courtesy of michezoafrika.com

Gor Mahia is set to know its disciplinary fate after the violence that erupted on March 18th during their match against AFC leopards at the Nyayo National Stadium by Friday this week.
A section of Gor Mahia fans caused mayhem during the second half of the match after Ali Abondo was shown red for a vicious tackle on Amon Muchiri, disrupting the match for almost over quarter an hour.
According to KPL Chief Executive Jack Oguda, the KPL’s Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee is set to meet this Friday and deliver the verdict.
“The IDCC will sit this Friday and give a verdict on the fracas, basing on the report from the Match officials. We expect them to forward the verdict after the meeting hopefully, but the latest we can expect the verdict is on Monday”, Oguda told Michezoafrika.com.
Following the violence, Gor Mahia were also banned by the Sports Stadia Management Board from using the Nyayo and Kasarani Stadia. SuperSport also withdrew from airing any of Gor Mahia matches until such a time they will be convinced that the fans have reformed.
This is the fourth time in the last two seasons that Gor Mahia will face IDCC for fan trouble.

  • PLEASE DEDUCT 6 POINTS FOR GOR MAHIA IN KEEPING TRADITION WITH ‘GLOBAL BEST PRACTICE’ NDIYO IWE FUNZO KWA ‘STONE THROWERS’, FANS AND KOGELLO FRATERNITY . WE ARE TIRED OF THIS PRIMITIVE BEHAVIOURS AND WE HAVE TO ELIMINATE THEM AT ALL COSTS TO THE CLUB, OFFCOURSE.

@Jakoyo do you want to trade the 6 points in the stock market? And you are using the word ‘please’! So embarrassing.

Jakoyo please please give us a break, the six points you are talking about are won in the field of play, by the sweat of the players who never threw any stone. In any case where are those points? I am now doubting your sincerety as a Gor supporter. We should be pleading and seeking forgiveness for the good of the team because if Gor goes down it will be very sad for Kenyan football and the millions who support the team. Please please someone listen, let Gor be for the sake of majority innocent and disciplined supporters. Even God promised that if there was only one innocent soul in Jericho, the city would be spared.I know of genuine supporters who are on their knees and willing to bring change and who are pleading the same way, just consider them and moreso considering the difficult situation the team is in at the moment.

@Jakoyo thank you for your very sober response in post 3. May I dignify that response with this:

We spent so much energy condemning hooliganism immediately after the incident. That phase of condemnation is over. We then made recommendations on how to deal with the vice. That phase too is over though new suggestions are still welcome. We are now implementing the recommendations.

Some of the achievements in this implementation phase are the T-shirts condemning soccer hooliganism that we wore beginning with our match against Mathare at Tok Komwanda. Of course you are aware of the ‘citizens arrest’ that our fans executed against a soccer hooligan at Nakuru in our match against Oserian. Ndugu yangu now that is progress.

This is a war me must win and it takes your effort and mine. I do realise we left you behind. Naturally when left behind alone the cold becomes inevitable. Welcome on board my brother. Let’s fight this vice.

As @Dan puts it in the preceding article why punish a child who is remorseful, has confessed and even asked for forgiveness?

@Ja Thur gi ji in post 4 that is just great. Thank you wuod min.

  • @Jakoyo cut us some slack. somone please look at how the guy writes some of the words associated with Gor and your guess is as good as mine, this guy is a fake period.
the best thing is for leniency and demand for a strong committment from the club with the help of other stakeholders to stop this vice at all cost. This business of allowing bangh and hard drinks to enter the stadia must be stopped at all cost. Children with adults bodies should teach themselves the art of self.control or late the law takes its course. Police with colonial mentality should never be allowed near any stadium no winder they still beat up a surrendered individual instead of placing them under arrest using police codes of practice. FKF on the other must look for every opportunity to offer long term solutions through offering training to club officials and law enforcers to curb this vice.
Banning Gor mahia or deduction points at this point in time will be counterproductive to all.
My prayer still go out to the players the buck stops with you coz as fans we have done the best that we can but you are not delivering as promised now what remains your guess is as good as mine for the non performers.

Hey hey people don crucify Jakoyo! Thats his view and want to support it. Do you look at those people who get maimed and lose property cos of these hoods? Crowd trouble is punishable in whatever thats deemed necessary by disciplinary bodies of Football Associations of the country. Deduction of points is one of them! In fact let this club get relegated and we start a fresh for some fools to get to know the price. Gor Sirkal, Gor Mayienga, Gor Biro, Gor Pundit, Gor everything. This has to stop and now. In fact the points to be deducted are to be 10. Stop being angels of pretence! And to you Pundit stop directing people here to be prayed for. Am not that Eblazing. So shut your mouth and keep the advice to yourself. This club is for all of us and we got the right to get pissed and air our views.

  • EITHER WAY, IT MUST BE WITHIN THE CONFINES OF THE LAW

The entire K’Ogalo is already anxious and waiting with bated breadth the outcome of the Independent Displinary and Complaints Committee scheduled for tomorrow. It is another time to reflect on silly actions by a sections of our fans.

It is true we are facing the committee for the fourth time over fans trouble. We are lucky no life was lost in the last fracas at the Nyayo national stadium when Gor Mahia met for the first time this season with their perennial rivals, AFC Leopards.
But even as they sit down and deliberate on the challenging issue of fans trouble by K’Ogalo followers, they must do it without fear, impartial and indeed within the confines of the law. This is the only time we’ll be convinced that justice was not only done but also seen to be done.

If the ruling is to the contrary ( which i hope is not) , we shall be left with no other option than to take our case to the highest organ, the independent Appeals committee. It is on this note I urge all our fans throughout the country to cross their fingers over the matter. We must also be ready to guard our right as a club by making sacrifices at this moment in time.
I stand with you at this moment of anxiety.

This matter should be put to rest….tired of anxiety, complains, abuses etc etc…..i only pray that justice will prevail for GorMahia…..we might be bad, but also some of AFC fans are not angels and should be punished. The concerned parties should ensure security is tight in all matches, individuals misbehaving should be arrested & face the music. i don’t understand why the club should suffer for peoples’s mistakes……

  • Teams are deducted points only when they fix matches and not crowd trouble. When there is crowd trouble you are fined and/or play a few games in empty stadium. The problem with Kenyan football is that the custodians of the law dont know when and where to apply which law.Secondly stadia management board must invest in security, they can’t pocket 15% of gate collection and not plough back some of it in security.GM’s games should have atleast 100security personnel.

THEY SHOULD IDENTIFY THE FANS RESPONSIBLE TO FACE DISPLINARY ACTION RATHER THAN SUBJECTING THE WHOLE KO’GALO FRATERNITY, COZ NEXT TYME OUR COMPETITOR MAY USE SOME HOOLIGANS TO CAUSE CHAOS IN THE NAME OF KOGALO FANS AND THEN PUNISH THE ENTIRE CLUB FOR A FEW WITH BAD INTENTION OF CAUSING HARM TO THE CLUB

Some people must learn to engage their brain in gear before stepping on the gas.How sure are we that the stone throwers in our midst were real Gor fans. Can it be proven beyond any reasonable doubt that Gor fans threw stones? What about a case of bought hooligans planted in our midst to potray us as usual in bad light. It is even possible that someone met and paid the referee to issue a red card at some point in the game and the same person plants paid fake fans to cause mayhem. The referee may have been compromised without him knowing the big plans of his paymasters and in this election year some group of Kenyans would love to see friction between Gor and AFC like in the old days for political benefit. Why would AFC fans ran all the way to town and start pelting Tom Mboya’s statue with stones singing Musalia for President.Do you still believe those were real AFC fans.Jakoyo et al must be in touch with reality and wake up to the fact that Gor fans were/will be incited in future respectively.its upon us to decide how we act to incitement by referees, opponents, stadia mngmnt and all the jakoyo’s out there.I pray for soberness of thought and deed.

  • Guys, as we argue about the hooligans. Did anyone see a player, tech bench or EC member breach any security on that game? In fact during the stoppage I saw both sets of players conversing cordially. So why should these people be punished? The law enforcers inability to nab these trouble makers should not be transfered to the team. Who can prove that they were GM fans and not hooligans? Nobody. So the onus of proof should be on IDCC and not GM who have no investigative wing. Why can’t SSMB have security cameras with the 15% they get from us? If all of us are hooligans then why did the game continue and end peacefully? But justice kenyan style we mass condemn just because we cannot prove beyond reasonable doubt.

TO comrade JAKOYO did you mean “KOGELLO”FRATERNITY or “K’OGALO FRATERNITY. There is a big difference between the two entities with regards to the roots and origin of GM F.C and the roots and origin of one Barry OBAMA.

JAKOYO keep Kogello clan out GOR MAHIA MISFORTUNES.

GIVE HOOLIGANS WHAT BELONGS TO THEM AND LET K’OGALO AS A CLUB HAVE WHAT THEY EARNED AFTER 90 MINUTES OF PLAY.

Punishment for hooligans should be harsh even if it has some financial implications so be it.

@ motema i have thrown another scripture below for bloggers to digest and debate soberly about what actions should taken against hooliganism.

    Paying Taxes to Caesar

Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might entrap him in his talk. They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter who you teach, for you aren’t partial to anyone. Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”
But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test me, you hypocrites? Show me the tax money.”
They brought to him a denarius.
He asked them, “Whose is this image and inscription?”
    They said to him, “Caesar’s.”
Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
When they heard it, they marveled, and left him, and went away.

    Matthew 22:15-22

And thus says OGANGO TRAILER give hooligans what belong to hooliganism; And give K’OGALO what belongs football.

Any grown up who finds time to hull insults and abusive language at others purportedly in the name of Gor (especially in this blog) only confirms that he is one or all of the following:

    1. A pinhead.
    2. Possesses nothing between his ears.
    3. Has a defective dental formula.
    4. Has poor oral hygiene (otherwise where could insults and foul language come from?)

  • the fate of Kogalo will always be in the hands of their fans

Gor fans decide the coach and force out the coaches they do not want
Gor funs are the Serikal – disputing all referee decision
Gor funs decide on the players
Gor funs decide on games to discrupt
Gor funs will decide when Gor arise or die

To me let the funs take responsibility of any action that will be taken, relegation, fines, deduction of points etc. That one day they will remember. times have changed we must take responsility, the players represent us on the field, we represent them in public. Gor is know for good football but for violent funs. Can we allign to what the players stand for.

I am ready for any action – let it come the funs will have to blame themselves

Some of the teraces are empty because reasonable funs cannot sit side by side with the holigans, they will be beaten, you have seen gor funs fight between themeselve if they cant fight anyone else. TAKE the Bullet.

@Mc Ochan mar Piny in the previous article entitled ‘When Will K’ogalo Bounce Back’ dated 10th April 2012 @59 you called someone an idiot. @73 under the same you said this, and I quote: “Disi @ 69, we will simply beat you up. Nonsense idiot.”

Today 12th April 2012 you jumped on an unsuspecting Pundit @10 with the following: “And to you Pundit stop directing people here to be prayed for. Am not that Eblazing. So shut your mouth and keep the advice to yourself.”

The following are excerpts of your comment @20 “@ Pundit, Eti ‘your’ blog has been invaded. You are typical sycophants…….. Pundit you stink of 100% SYCOPHANCY.”

Now silwal, that is a very high turnover of bad language. If it is your strategy for making your presence felt then may I opine that it is the wrong approach?

The trend is so alarming that it leads me to wonder quietly as to which type of air you breathe that you should consistently be suffering from episodes of chronic poor judgment. My bet is that your air does not contain the normal Nitrogen 78%, Oxygen 21%, Carbondioxide 0.04% and Others 0.06%. You air must be having less of Carbondioxide.

May I remind you that you earned the respect of many in this blog with that gracious apology after that unfortunate incident? Why are you messing that reputation?

Violent and disrespectful language does not help at all. Apparently you are fighting for Jakoyo yet Jakoyo himself is not abusing anyone. Get your hands off Pundit then try and learn to blog and live with people in harmony.

SSMB was so stupid it didn’t even investigate or give us a chance to pay for the damages inflicted on their cheap mismanaged equipments, they just acted on emotions like bitches, so did supersport.
Judging from all these, how sure are we IDCC wont act on emotions or media hatred campaign but act after a careful investigations. They should know that Gor is also a victim to some extent, as a gor fan, am tired of being on the defensive side even when we should be on the offensive.

  • POLITICS IN FOOTBALL

For a long time now, I have deliberately avoided the subject for personal reasons.

However, as a matter of record, I wish to state the following. Football and politics are hardly inseparable especially to community clubs such as Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards. The current ODM primaries pitting RAO and Mudavadi, both of which comes from the two prontagonists, have poured out into our stadia and streets.

The report by the Kenya Premier League is not yet public and therefore we cannot for pre-empt it. After the Nairobi derby reports emerge though scanty that there were chants in support and alleged attack on TJ Mboya statue along Moi Avenue in Nairobi by a section of AFC Leopards fans. Nothiing could be further from the truth.

We must therefore guard our clubs from some elements who want to it for their own political expediency.

The Right Honorable Prime Minister, Honorable Raila Odinga is a well known football fan. He has been gracing various both local and international matches in our stadia. Both Politicians don’t entertain cheap publicity for their campains such as the one staged by fans from the two clubs. It is therefore callous and unfair to drag the names of the two great politicians into our own affairs.

As we await the outcome of the IDCC tomorrow, let us be prepared to carry our own crosses. The officials ( GM) like a typical Maasai, just stood with one leg resting on the other to let time pass. They have remained mum over the issue of the 5 Gor Mahia fans who died last season after a stampede broke out near gate2 of the Nyayo national stadium.
    Shame on you guys!

Guys if we can pour so much vitriol on fellow fans on a blog what would happen in a stadium. If some of us reason like this despite the fact that we can access facebook, twitter etc how do we expect the rest ‘down’ there to reason/behave. I thought we all would be different like @pareiyo with his incisive analysis/contributions. If one can get frustrated on a blog what of when in the stadium will all that tension?

AFC is now collecting almost 1m which we used to do easily but we spend more time on things which will not help our team NOW. Some of the suggestions are for future. Current priority is to climb up the log, reorganise in June and then see if it works
