Logarusic applauds players

After handing Muhoroni Youth a 4-0 thrashing in their second last match of the season on Sunday, Gor Mahia’s head coach Zdravko Logarusic congratulated his players for their performance.
The tactician, however, made it a point to note that even though the win essentially brought them closer to the title, they will wait until they are handed the cup before claiming league honours.
“We will celebrate for the win against Muhoroni because we deserved it, but we cannot start talking about the title until we have seen it,” said Logarusic.
Of Sserunkuma’s hat-trick heroics in the match, Logarusic said that he was happy for the striker and hoped that he will go on to win the golden boot award.
Sserunkuma has 17 goals, the same number as Sofapaka’s John Baraza. Logarusic also registered his appreciation for Christopher Wekesa’s goal – the player’s first of the season.
“Sserunkuma has been performing very well and I am glad to see him soar. He is a hard-working young man and I know he will go very far. With Wekesa scoring in the match, our total number of different scorers, across various tournaments, has risen to 13, something which I find very impressive,” said Logarusic.
After the win, Gor ascended to the top of the table, where they sit one point in front of second-placed Tusker and two ahead of AFC Leopards.
no negativity well said coach this your team is excellent , good, awesome, entertaining ,good looking well trained , champions elect, good for us all God bless this team and grant them more victories
amen
Since we regained the top position with some major collateral damage, the efusi website has been offline. These oches are really weird
Yes coach, your words can only encourage the team to better their recent performances in the last one which is the mother of all matches they have played……long live Loga…long live Kogallo. Lets go for it….the bird is in the cage.
Well said coach. At least your contribution is positive. It’s far much better than the VC Kilo complaining of a reduction on the winning perks. We talk of O.G.A.T yet he has started threatening on winner’s price amounts. Looks like he is reading from the wrong script from the fans, players and tech bench.
TUNAWESMAKE KUWA CHAMPS THIS SATO
Thank God for he has blessed my heart and protected my ways.God has helped Ingwe achieve achieve what i has now i want to praise almighty father for His greatnes and favour.i will praise Him more if he awards my beloved AFC Leopards with the league by His on ways.GOD HAS NEVER AND WILL NEVER LET ME DOWN.May the almighty father in the great name of Jesus Christ bless Ingwe.
My family has just voted for Barack Obama.this is gonna be a nail biting. My mind is with Kogalo and im waiting for sato.If Obama wins and Kogalo wins my house will be the house for praising the Lord.I give thanks to Logarusic, the assistants, the boys and above all The Lord.
Our boys have fought gallantly and deserve respect. They made the second leg of the league pay back time: a leg for peeling back the points and they made sure they floored all manner of opposition that came their way. It is therefore inconcievable how some people still have the spine to claim otherwise. When Danni scores a goal on 22nd Sept at Kasarani from a half corner nobody makes noise, but when he repeats a photocopy of the same as his 3rd goal against Muhoroni at Tok Komwanda then people lose their heads and make all manner of ludicrous claims. Why could they not make the same noise when they were on the receiving end at Kasarani?
Why on earth should a focused outfit that wants to win only the next match engage in match-fixing? We have earned our current position. We worked hard for it and that is why our team should produce:
1. The Team of the season.
2. The coach of the season.
3. The best goalkeeper of the season.
4. The most valuable striker.
5. The golden boot award winner.
6. The most transformed fans of the season.
7. The bloggers of the season.
8. The best blog of the season.
9. The best apostle of the season (Mwakio).
The amazing thing is that those making the loudest noise were beaten comprehensively by the Mighty Gor at every oppotunity that presented itself. We know that obviously the don’t wish us well. Infact I may not be surprised if I hear that they are musing with the idea of hiring The Log.
@barefoot 8. asante sana for the bringing that on board, at least to win the league you must beat kogallo,tell me any team in the top five who have beaten kogallo so far this season.mayb kogallo itself.you should also consider adding;
(10) the most industrious player of the season- moses aka lucky dube
let’s keep on praying to win the title then we can shift our focus somewhere else.may be beating a.f.c again in the cup, it seems they are not yet convinced this is a season for the trebble
who took the hooligans of the season?
I do agree with KDF that what K’gallo require now more than ever, is PRAYER. Let the celebration continue Bro Mwakio take us through the footpath to CANAAN
HOOLIGAN OF THE SEASON: THHE FOOTBRIDGE BRANCH
Fellow bloggers, ladies and gentlemen,
Before i announce the hooligan of the season, please allow me to say some valedictions for the group.
They claim to be members of this great club because they don the green and white jersey to and from the footbridge. They carry vuvuzelas not cheer the team but to pollute the serene jogoo road. They deny the club the much needed revenue yet they claim
diehard supporters. They fly all manner of miniature flags. They defy all manner of rules including FIFA sanctioned on safety of fans and players. On their way home, they have no respect for motorists and unsuspecting public.
Ladies and gentlemen, the hooligan of the season goes to the footbridge branch.
@Pareyio you hit the nail on the head. How will CNN report it when the bridge collapses under their weight? Nobody will care to know that these people were actually acres away from the stadium. It will go like this: ANOTHER STADIUM DISASTER IN KENYA. Then FIFA will move swiftly to condemn and ban the INNOCENT Tok Komwanda…and who suffers? Of course it will be the team that the said HOOLIGANS are denying the much needed revenue. Hooligans of the season indeed.
no.12….your comments are ill advised, insensitive and uncalled for. These people are not at the footbridge by choice but rather the state of their pockets. You must understand not everybody is as privileged as you financially. We should give consideration to such people who happen to be fans like you and me but lack the resources to afford 200 to watch the game from the confines of the stadium.
Secondly, increasing gate charges smacks of greed and impunity. How sure are we that that extra cash will actually get to the playing unit as alleged?we haven’t even accounted for the other millions we have collected, how can we be sure about this thuggery that is about to happen?lets be transparent and fair to all!!!!
Indeed if hooliganism is entrenched in what people say, then I can only say that it does not pay to:
1. To Turn the songs that are used to glorify God into abuses.
2. It does not pay to use bad language in the stadium to show that one is an ardent supporter.
3. The use of the abusive language is disrespectful to young mothers and Fathers who bring children to watch as a way of introducing future stars to kogalo
After supporting the team for such a long time in the season why is Kilo charging us 300/- for sartuday entry? All over a sudden some officials have become very active. Have they smelt a rat? When the coach took it up with the sponsors all of them were nowhere to be see.
First and foremost i take this opportunity to applaud Log for the good words he’s uttered about the players, i hope it’ll not get into their heads to the detriment of performance.
Regarding the footbridge bizarre, its not in order to justify and publicize vices only for the same people to lose their lives. Lives must be protected even when the custodians of the same have decided to be careless with it!
Fred & others who support this barbarism, please note it has never and will never ever be about pockets. It will remain an issue of discipline and manners. A simple question- do we get everything we want at the time we want them? There are a lot of bloggers who have missed live K’ogalo games for lack of money and watched them on TV, what makes these hooligans so special to regularly risk their lives under the pretext of lack of money? Can’t we see for once from the perspective of @13. FIFA will simply ban City Stadium as we insist on advertising our already known poverty! How many people are at the risk of inconvenience? is it the handful Foot bridge Hoolies or the thousands of sacrificing Fans.
THESE GUYS MUST BE DISPERSED.
Thanks Richard, many times it becomes very difficult to sing at the stadia for the simple reason that sacred Songs are turned into K’ogalo songs and many a times corrupted with dirty lyrics. The others (abusive language directed at our ladies)are just too bad to comment on.
With prayers and bold steps all these will be eradicated.
kassam…get my point and get me right.Am not in support of the footbridge branch.what am against is calling these people names!!!Not everyone who uses the footbridge is a hooligan…and not everyone who uses the footbridge can afford to pay and watch it from the stadium like you.Be sensitive to the less fortunate members of our society.YOU WERE BLESSED….THEY ARE NOT!!!!
A good solution cum suggestion to our colleagues at the footbridge branch. why cant gian screens be erected outside the stadium so that they can watch the match too like others?
This is possible with better plans. Gor is a big team !!!!
please for the last game let all players camp at one place so that we do not loose
@Ochuka we have an inherent culture of loving it free or cheap. Once that or those giant screens are installed outside the stadium how many fans will be ‘able’ enough to enter the stadium. I am afraid that move will spell Gor Mahia’s orbituary. I am opposed to the idea of giant screens outside the stadium. Finacially, our team is still very young and we depend alot on the gate collections.
We have to remain focused. Remember FKF now wants us to play at Kasarani due to the large crowd expected but I believe real reason could be because it’s so clear at the City stadium we will win but at Kasarani there could be a plan to frustrate us to make either Tusker or AFC take the trophy. Let the EC not agree to play at kasarani if the subject comes out strongly
@Barefoot. I agree with your comments. Then, for safety reasons, let GSU deployed to man the footbridge on Gor Match days. This will avoid catastrophy.
@Alando – In as much Kasarani is not our home ground, I look at on the other angle. Weather reasons. It tends to rain in Nrb in the afternoons, and Tok Komwanda has got no capacity to contain the crowd when they move to shelter. I will support the Kasarani idea.
