Logarusic hopeful on Mubiru

Gor Mahia coach Zdravko Logarusic is keeping the hope that the highly rated Ugandan midfielder Eddie Mubiru who was signed by the club in the June transfer window will be available for selection soon.

Speculated fee

Mubiru was captured from Ugandan side Kampala City Council (KCC) but the two sides are yet to agree on the youngster’s transfer fee which is unofficially placed at Kshs 1.2 – 1.5 million though the coach believes an agreement will be reached soon.

The Croatian tactician admitted he is looking forward to having the player in his team and revealed that a representative from the club will soon be going to Uganda for a face to face discussion with the club.

Talented

-Mubiru’s issue is not yet cleared; his former club’s asking price is a bit too high for a player coming straight from high school but I should admit the boy is very talented and has a great future ahead of him.

-The club’s officials have been speaking with his former club on phone but a meeting has been organised so I think someone will be travelling there soon to try and strike a deal. I hope an agreement is reached soon because I want to have him in my team, he told futaa.com.

The player’s feelings after the move were clear for all to see after he admitted his joy at joining the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) giants earlier on.

I hope the person who will be traveling to Kampala for the negotiation will be a serious person who will come with a concrete report but not our secretary general, Mr. George Bwana; sorry for mentioning names but hope you’ll not be too offended. If the coach says the boy is talented who I’m I to say he is not? I presume during his trial period he has fitted in GM’s game plan.

On the issue of signing Eddie Mubiru there is a blogger if I’m not wrong who promised to pay for his salary for one whole year if GM signs him. Hope he’ll honour his promise. Does anybody know if this happened?

We trust you coach however i feel the fee is over inflated given that he has no experience but its a good investment though

These young boys are the future. Dont be like Leopards who folk our 500,000 for old lions without teeth. On the KPL i watched TP Mazembe and I dare say to whoever wins the league. Who will bell the cat against TP Mazembe?

  • It’s good that now we are going for quality as opposed to quantity some times back. There was a time we had over 30 players yet only 30 could be registered. Now with 25 players the seem seems to be dilivering. With a class of 25 the teacher can know the strengths and weaknesses of his students and that’s what’s happening now.

@JB you need not worry about what hate mongers say. As Gor Mahia, we are only in this to celebrate good football and nurture peaceful coexistence with other members of the human race no matter their club affiliation.

The Gor Mahia family should never tire to advocate for peace and harmony amongst all Kenyans.

Anyone who thinks that by kicking an innocent player he shall have made a statement omly confirms that he has a twisted mind.

I appeal to our players to go there and kick the ball and nothing else but the ball. This match is not anything special. Life still continues even after the match and we should be in a position to leave it to the fullest without any feelings of guilt or insecurity.

  • After struggling since the season began and recording some unconvincing results AFC are threatening not to honour the Top 8 game. This is compounded by their loss to the U20 team. Waht a pity. I believe even the FKF cup they will give a miss and then the league becomes impossible. Can see a tower crumbling down. How sad anyway. I’m sure if the match was gainst a lesser team or a struggling GM they would have grabbed the chance with both hands

  • Then we should now play the Ulinzi game na AFC wacheze na Tusker tuone kama watagoma hii weekend. Ati AFC claim they are broke? See futaa.com yet Rangers and City stars honour matches without sponsors , fans or even well wishers. Romours are that they watched a replay of our game against City stars and thought better than be humiliated
