Luc Eymael has revealed that Gor Mahia have approached him for his services.

The much travelled Belgian coach has exclusively revealed to Goal that Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier contacted him twice over a possible move to handle the Kenyan champions ahead of the new season.

“I spoke to the club chairman (Rachier) two times on November 15 but since then, there is no news. He told me that he will get back but I have not heard from him again. I will consider the Gor Mahia offer because they are a good club.

“But for now, I must make a decision on my next move by the end of this week because I am already missing the pitch,” Eymael, who once coached K’Ogalo rivals AFC Leopards, told Goal.com.

Gor Mahia are without a coach after Dylan Kerr ditched the side, just a few weeks before they launch their campaign in the Caf Champions League, where they have been drawn to face Nyasa Big Bullets from Malawi in the preliminary stage.

Eymael is currently unattached after he ended his stint with South African club Free State Stars. Eymael, has also coached some of the top clubs in Africa like Sudanese side Al-Merreikh, Al-Nasr (Oman) and Rayon Sports (Rwanda).

  • Desperation shouldn’t be the drive when searching for the coach, let’s employ known recruitment procedures to get the best. We do not want a situation where the coach is employed without a contract
