Muguna: We are ready for the league

Gor Mahia skipper has put aside the disappointment of the 2022 AFCON campaign and is ready for the start of the 2020-2021 season.

The top tier competition was initially primed to kickoff this Friday but has been pushed back by a week as the federation deals with ‘logistical challenges’.

“We have no say over when the league will restart. We are just preparing for the kick off and this time round we are targeting an early win. As I speak, the team is very much prepared,” said Muguna to Citizen Sport.

Muguna says the players are prepared and are raring to go.

“Players are curious to get back to the field of play. We need total fitness ahead of the CAF Champions League assignments and the local league as well,” he continued.

Gor Mahia will start their league campaign against Tusker.

I am also eager to see the league start. My concern is that the players will not have gained enough match fitness by the time they go to Rwanda
