Nuttall upbeat despite losing start

The new Gor Mahia coach Frank Nuttall has not pushed the panic button yet.  Rather he is going to work to improve key aspects of the club ahead of the crucial 4 games stretche which starts against Tusker next Sunday.

“My view is we take one game at a time,” the Gor mentor said. “The next match is very crucial because we are up against our closest rivals (Tusker).

“The time we have together is very limited, but I won’t say I will introduce a crash program. My predecessor did a very good job and that is why the team is at the top of the league table.

“It is now for me to ensure we remain up there till the end of the campaign. The most important thing I have told them is they need to understand that fitness is key to success in any football game.

“The level of fitness is good, but there is room for improvement. Some players are not at par with the rest.” said Williamson to football 411.

With Gor Mahia playing four matches in 10 days, they will desperately need Nuttall’s core expertise which is fitness, especially now that the squad lacks depth.

FKF paying for Nuttall’s accomodation

Meanwhile it has emerged that the Football Kenya Federation is paying for the accomodation of Frank Nuttall to the tune of Ksh 15,000 per day.

The Scott is yet to move into the club’s official accommodation as former coach Bobby Williamson, who has since joined Harambee Stars, is yet to be given a house by the federation. In this regard, FKF has undertaken to pay Nutall’s accommodation expenses until they get a house for Williamson. Former coach Adel Amrouche is yet to vacate a house allocated to him by the federation, making it impossible for Williamson to move in.
According to Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier, Nuttall will stay in a hotel until the matter is sorted out. “The house Williamson stays in belongs to Gor Mahia and since he has not moved out yet, the federation has agreed to pay hotel bills accumulated by Nuttall until such a time that the situation is sorted out,” Rachier said to the Standard.
The house that Williamson currently occupies is being used by Gor Mahia courtesy of Nairobi governor Evans Kidero. It is located in the Kilimani area.

All the best Nutall. Hakuna pressure to me you’ve inherited a tricky & difficult situation. Time will tell whether you’ll bring improvement @ K’galo.

    Sasa hii ni nini?

“If we are frustrated in our houses by not being good fathers, husbands, mothers, etc, we should not extend this to the club”.

Kwani there are no convicts, prostitutes, even murderers i.e people of doubtful characters as well as morally upright saints who love GMFC in equal measure. First we had fans and members now we are try to profile who are the good fathers, husbands, and mothers amongst us as the worthy supporters of K’galo.
We are even arguing about support from RAO & EK.
To me it doesn’t really matter.
What matters is whether EC has the ability to use support from whatever source transparently & effectively. So far it has failed to plan with the Tuzo sponsorship period and gate collections!

Fans, we have lost it. Some postings are excellent but others are even discouraging the potential fans and sponsors.

On accountability, we are alright and we must embrace the accountability and let this begin with every blogger, Executive Committee, players, fans, TB, politicians etc. if we fans do always make free entry into stadias, is the accountability?

On RAO and EK associating with clubs for political reasons, what is wrong with that? Gentlemen, we bloggers should stop posting nonsense about our leaders associating with Gor Mahia. Further both RAO and EK have given the club support both financially and morally. If you hate them, then evaluate what we and you Mr. Right has given to the club and then compare. Do you all know what other Luo leaders have given or donated to the club? Both RAO and EK are free to support the club and if we do not want them to support the team, why can’t we bloggers make all these initiatives of fund raising be a success?

On sponsorships not forthcoming, we need to blame first ourselves that believe that we own the club with our mouths but not with action. It us the hooligans in our midst that have contributed to this fathom. Secondly, I blame the executive on not being aggressive and lack of accountability. For example look at KRA saga, has this saga been resolved? If not who will associate with the institution that do not pay Caesar what belongs to Ceasar and God what belongs to God. Both RAO and EK have nothing to do with this debacle.

If we are frustrated in our houses by not being good fathers, husbands, mothers, etc, we should not extend this to the club.

Let accountability start with us first before we point out any evil in Gor Mahia.

On salary being paid to the coach, there is nothing wrong with the coach being paid Kshs.600,000 per month. Every good and excellent things have costs. If the club has a cheaply paid coach, we fans will still complain. When will we as fans and bloggers learn to appreciate good things?

Let us learn to appreciate every good gestures and expose all rots at the club but not blame games we are posting here.

No matter what you do to help others in such fora, it seems it is difficult to take the political mindset away from other people. As a people, we must not dwell so much on talking politics when we can discuss issues that will uplift our living standards. As a rule of thumb, one must realize that a politician is there to use our brains and energy to further their own personal gains. When you see two or a group of politicians fighting, you must realise that they are fighting over your own wealth (probably one is stealing more than the other). Please do not help them in their fights because it makes you poorer. I beg you my fellow people, despite our differences, leave politicians to fight their own wars. Don’t help them fight it because it adds nothing to your well-being. Use your time to better your lives and those you care about. Have you wondered why one will resign from a job that pays over Kshs 700,000 to vie for political seat? The answer is that it gives the person a perfect opportunity to steal (corrupt). Have you seen these people’s payslips? They read zero. Please stop idolizing these people.

The main reason I don’t attend political rallies is because the politicians come in choppers, lie to me and leave in their choppers while I remain with nothing to eat. It amazes me when I see people who are supposed to be responsible, wasting their time on empty gossips around 20th Century, Mama Ngina Street, Wabera Street etc. Really, honestly what’s going on?

PLEASE DON’T USE THIS SITE TO EXTEND THE GOSSIPS FROM 20TH CENTURY, MAMA NGINA AND WABERA STREET!!!

Guys let us focus on the subject matter and avoid tearing at each other. Gor Mahia is big and I cannot cheer it alone. It would be so boring if I were to be the only Gor Mahia fan. K’Ogalo needs Pmawego, Jakoyo, Mwakio, Oduor12, Collins, Jakaba, you, the other guy and I too. Please gentlemen I implore you.

It is good that Frank Nutall has seen what Jack Omollo and other fans saw in the boys. In fact the coach is just being diplomatic when he says that “The level of fitness is good, but there is room for improvement. Some players are not at par with the rest”. This begs the question as to what happened to the fitness regime laid down by coach Logarusic? It is long since I heard of the team cooling down after a match or even going swimming.

  • Three days ago, I was in Kisumu town and was very “impressed” to see Gor Mahia fans in Adidas branded T-Shirts. Each and every one of them I approached was not even aware there is membership registration going on through Chase Bank.

I stand to be corrected, at no point in time has Adidas sponsored Gor Mahia as a club. As fans, let us all register as members then demand for accountability. What do we say? I have registered.

@Pmawego, thanks for letting some of us know where some people on this blog get untrue stories about players salaries that have not been cleared, players training on empty stomach, unpaid laundry bills etc come from. I have been wondering where this rumors are milled from. At least I now know: around 20th Century, Mama Ngina Street, Wabera Street etc
