Power Dynamos now threaten Gor Mahia

Gor Mahia could face legal action from Zambian league side Power Dynamos who have accused the Kenyan champions of illegally entering into negotiations with their player Julius Situmbeko.
But there is a way out for Gor – they can still make it official by informing Dynamos of their intentions to sign the player then pay some USD 200,000 (Sh17 million) for him, a Dynamo official said.
“This is a sensitive issue. It was a show of greed and a silly mistake on the player’s part. However, it was also very unwise for a big club like Gor Mahia to bribe the player and not even bother to check his background,” Eugine Mpolokoso, an executive member of the Dynamos, told Daily Nation Sport in an exclusive telephone interview on Friday.
“But we could consider releasing the winger and close the case if Gor compensates us,” Mpolokoso said.
Dynamos received a similar amount for their midfielder Mukuka Mulenga when he moved to South African league side Mamelodi Sundowns earlier this year.
Mpolokoso accused Gor of failing to contact Dynamos when they started negotiations with the 20-year-old Situmbeko.
Gor Mahia officials caught up with Situmbeko during the 2013 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup last November. Situmbeko was part of the Zambian national team that took part in the championship that Kenya hosted.
“The young man has admitted to receiving USD 6,000 (Sh 300,000) from Gor Mahia officials but claims he did not understand what the money was for. We will punish him for that but Gor will also not get away with it. This is a grave offence, I assume they know the rules,” Mpolokoso added.
HEAVY FINE
The official said they will also consider reporting Gor to Fifa, where the Kenyan side may face a heavy fine.
“We are talking of a player who was a starter with the Zambian national team at the CHAN, Cosafa and Cecafa games and has the same potential as Mulenga,” the official said.
Gor Secretary General George Bwana however said they are no longer interested in the player and they want a refund their money.
Gor are also facing a separate accusations from relegated side Kakamega Homeboyz who accuse Bobby Williamson’s team of ‘stealing’ their defender Harun Sakava.
“This was the second time Gor Mahia officials were secretly approaching our players,” Homeboyz owner Cleophas Shimanyula lamented. But Gor Mahia have since denied the claims.
These are the consequences of what I term Mipango ya Kando. Pole George Bwana. This blunder will prove very costly for us this time round. It is always very prudent to avoid mipango ya kando and play by the rules. However now you must also either talk tough to Power Dynamos as they seem to be out to intimidate us or engage in dialogue for an amicable end to this mess. I am just so fed up with this Situmbeko thing and I agree with George Bwana that we don’t need him anymore.
I have no comment about Situmbeko.I think I have had enough of it.Mine is on the comment made by barefoot bandit on the previous post.He bandied the Gor community(luo as irrational and emotional)and poor Managers.Since when did a mistake by one individual become a communal issue? Some of the best managers in both public and private sectors are Luos.I am also wondering where your statement leaves the non-luo fans Kogalo.Am one of them and I feel insulted.Barefootbandit is a senior and a respected contributer on this site and this statement is a little unfortunate. In his world ALL Kikuyus are thieves and ALL luhyas are watchmen and cooks which is not always the case.We are here as Kogalo fans.Next year the ratio of Luo to non-luo Gor players will be 1:1 or thereabouts. This means Gor will have a national outlook after Tusker,Sofapaka and Mathare United.Tribal chauvinism won’t take our beloved Kogalo anywhere. My being a Kamba doesn’t make me a Gor fan any less.As for Oduor 12 some of us may not comment on your blogs not because we hate you or we are sycophants.I for one,am not commenting because I have had you and I have made my decision.I remember telling you here that you have ideas that WILL take Gor places. You are my candidate for the post SG.Please do not disappoint us.Please contest.I have read your blueprints. They look real good for a sharp mind. However, you are the only one who can implement them at Gor.Please vie.
Gor mahia officials must always mess up by the beggining of the year while signing players especially this current office.the other year it was Nwosu and Balotieno last year it was Rodrigues, why cant we learn once and for all.Mr George bwana find your own ways of which the club will get back its money back,we are fed up with the issue of this player leave him alone and get the cash back to the club.otherwise bloggers you can log in http://www.michezoafrica.com and get some information on what consequences the issue can have on both the player and our club gor mahia.
this Bwana guy and sheady deals from brazil to local. so the guy was given 300k but how much did Bwana take from the gor coffers. so now he is very ready screaming that the matter shud be left to rest! why? how much is ‘BRIBE’ allowance is Bwana walking around with?. how is it being accounted for. the silence means that every official is now clearing the bank account in the name of recruitment. no wonder each is running to the press about so and so now being in gor only for matters to change after two or three days. players now know that gor officials have bribe money and i assume we will read more about ‘recruitment’. so there was shaban kenga, then shava, then zambian guy then so and so. but no photo’s, no club to club agreements but only money passing under the table. i challenge Bwana and his crony officals to tell us all how much they are walking around with and how this has been sanctioned by the EC.
@ Dinga you are spot on,in this case george bwana seemingly has dissapeared with a lot of clubs money on this player and that is why he is really concerned and talking too much,he knows very well that if this issue is followed well,it will open a can of worms, the way the guy has been talking even me i get suspicious about this issue. These malicious deals will never end in gor mahia,if you can still hear of the likes of jolawi obondo the former gor mahia TM can still go behind the officials to broke a player and give him quotation of signing fee to take to the chairman so that he can get his share, then we should be prepared for more disapointments. In short george bwana should make sure that the cash is returned to the club as soon as possible because this waiganjo is not coming.
Baba Travis I cannot vie for the simple reason that I didn’t register as a candidate & honestly right now am not ready, but I hope anyone who offers himself is ready ,qualified and able for the demanding task of being a GM official since nobody is forced to vie.
So far registration of candidates has not been reopened so that door is closed. That’s the same reason why G.Bwana & the treasurer cannot vie if rules are followed & respected.
As for G.Bwana vs J Situmbeko according to Bwana it was Gor Mahia, the club (read fans) who were duped. Anyway AR has backed him & also he had already ‘resigned’ as S.G. Could this have been a ploy all along only that’s its backfiring big time.
Take note of the interesting development of this saga- from a pair of soccer boots, to $6,000, to between $30,000-$50,000 and now to $ 200,000. The cost of nursing officials’ egos just shot through the moon and I dare repeat for a club whose players walk to training and have no medical insurance. Yes AR has done a lot for the club but look at what lack of structures (operating like a kiosk) is likely to cost GM BIG. This club that if properly managed can as Paw Achuke states to pay its star players Kshs.200,000/month.
There is a reason why Bwana is now on the retreat (ati we are no longer interested in the player), this thing could be serious.
Now let me divert “Gor Mahia is not about you or me but about US which is not necessarily you or me”.
The “Bishop” of the blog went ballistic on the Admin stating & I quote” If this is going to be the case, I will never ever post my comment in this site and you better shut down this site.” But surprisingly hardly ten hours late I had bored him so much that he was back blogging and calling me Mr. Clean/Dirty. This 360 degree about turn (regurgitating & chewing cud) made my day. HOWEVER MOST IMPORTANT IS WHEN “BISHOP” PRAYS FOR GM (B4 A MACTH) WE ALL SAY AMEN.
Then note what the AR diehards think Oduor12 is Adede’s– “we as bloggers are trying to shade some truth about odour and to my opinion he is adede’s project in this site.admin the time of baba na mama iliisha during moi’s era and u should change n style up.”
The same Oduor12 is NUMBER ONE VOTER FOR AR–“With all due respect to Mwakio @ Oduori12, why don’t you two present the blue prints to AR for implementation since both of you are his professed number one voters and he looks set for another term coz neutrals like me have seen him preside over the same confusion for six years…” A challenge I intend to take by posting in this blog.
To the intellectuals and or those vexed by repetitions you simply do not have to read them coz the repetitions are not meant for you but for new bloggers or do you believe there are none. In the run up to the elections I intend to repeat 3 articles as often as I can so as advised simply don’t read them if they irritate your throat.
Finally recently an cooperative society was launched by our Islamic brothers, I forget the name but let’s watch the growth of this organization (which has embraced structures by the mere fact of forming a coop) and compare it with our beloved GM formed in 1968.
@ BB thank-you my comrade,
Baba Travis sometimes we say things so as to drive the point home not with any malicious intent example I was even told to leave GM and go support another team but what if when GM plays I & the person who “expelled” me from GM find ourselves cheering a classic “Flava’s” goal without ever knowing that we sometimes didn’t see eye to eye in this blog.
YOU SEE GOR MAHIA IS FOR US
I leave you with Desiderata, How many times has it been repeated?
Desiderata
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be critical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
Pole Baba Travis. I realize that there is a little bit of misunderstanding here. Let me copy paste the portion of my post that has apparently upset you: “The amount of vitriol poured on Oduor12 has demonstrated once again how much we the Gor Mahia community (read Luos) are poor managers of our emotions.”.
Baba Travis compare yours and mine and you will note that yours has been modified. My statement simply lamented the fact that a Luo does not handle his or her emotions quite ably. Peruse the blog and you will see the who-is-who as regards the emotional outbursts against Oduor12 simply because he keeps on repeating the same message. That Luos cannot control their emotions is a very open and disappointing fact. Baba Travis my statement has nothing to do with Gor Mahia as a team and my statement is fully aware that Gor Mahia draws support from all corners of the globe hence the brackets. Hata hivyo pole sana.
@ Admin please guide me on how someone can visit this site and fail to read some comments posted by bloggers that hold different opinion from theirs. Is it really possible?Unless you are periodically blinded whenever you come across some name tag that you dislike based on their personal opinion on the issue at stake.
This blogsite will never fail to amuse. If you don’t like his post just don’t read it. How?
There is a old wise saying in our village which states that Every Market has it own mad person. Their is a mad man blogging in this site and I will soon name him.
@ Jabilo name that mad man ,i believe each and every person is entitled to his or her own opinion in this blog and that is why we are being told that if you feel bored with the blogs of some people here, you just avoid reading them.I don’t understand where the issue of a mad man in the village is coming from here, that is know like an insult and degrading others and that is what mwakio, omollo and others has been talking about here time and again.please bloggers humility will cost us nothing,i read somewhere in this blog where someone talked about the gate keepers and the opinion leaders of this blog who feel that they are always right and more superior than others and in fact i have confirmed it now, calling innocent bloggers here mad men cant be allowed and please withdraw your words if you are mentally upright the way you are claiming to be.in fact mad men who are necked can also refer to normal people putting on their decent clothes abnormal not knowing that he is the odd one out.please let us turn this site to a place where we talk about constructive things about gor mahia but not a site for insults, blame games and name calling ,we are going irrelevant now and at the same time some bloggers told us that you wont expect everyone here to go with you the same way which is true so let us give everyone space to give his or her opinion, but not insults, name calling and other things that are not constructive.
hahahaha!this gor circus is always there it will never end i have to give my honest opinion here AR has failed as chairman , his leadership is amatanga style and it is under his watch that that the number of chewers were increased cos he feared being beaten in a fair contest so he needed all his competitors to be part of his office now we are broke , headless ,corrupt, connable by this uneducated Zambian lad,we have no cash , no plan for the future and we shall be looking for kidero , RAO to pay tickets for the team to Gabon YET EACH CLUB WORLD-OVER DEPENDS ON THE FANS INPUT TO RUN ALL THEIR ERRANDS TO MY FRIEND @ODUOR 12, BABA TRAVIS , we have a long walk home in order to make this club what the fans want it to be for if we re elect these same officials we we whine and whine for ever , the club secretary should be the official spokesman and who is faiz ochieng signing is supposed to talked about by the technical bench but since there are no match day for tickect racket to be conducted they are finding some job of signing players hii gor itaniletea ulcers
can AR come out and address this issue coz its getting out of hand & also tarnishing the good name of our club. GB should learn that cheap is always expensive and there is no shortcut to success, had he followed the rules GM couldn’t be in this Tssumbeko mess. anyway we are praying for our club. We shall overcome. & to fellow bloggers let’s always stick to issues. GOD BLESS GM.
If gor mahia is a big club as they claim to be, can they try and lure Isaac Chansa, the Combative creative Zambian midfielder. He is a free agent…………….
And we also have the best creative midfielders in uganda moses oloya and Patrick ochan , free agents from uganda
Dear Blogers, please try to be mature and respectable in your postings on this site.I don’t think a mad man in the market can have time to post anything on this site and be read.Let us keep off personal attacks,in the eye of Almighty God we are all equal in respective of your pocket or brain.Let us channel all our effort to how we can in mprove the welfare of our Club Gor Mahia on matters of taking care of our players and keeping our elected official and TB on the move whenever they are forgetting their rolls in the Club.Mcmusingo @12 that is the right approach.Happy New Year.
That situmbeko guy can go 2 hell…17m 4 a raw talent pliz dynamos we hv kevo,bb,rama, oboya, kiongera, kenga,…let that con guy return our money n fuck off…
