We were tactically superior said Chilumba

Tim Otieno sees his penalty saved

Power Dynamos coach Tenant Chilumba has claimed that he side is tactically superior to their Kenyan counterparts.

“There’s a lot of co-ordination in the team and I am happy with today’s performance. It’s a good win, but we should not be carried away. This was only a friendly match and we are still continuing with our preparations,” said Chilumba according to the Standard.
Chilumba, who played for the Zambia national team and for Power Dynamos in the late 1990s as a midfielder claims he had studied Gor Mahia and knew their strengths and weaknesses.
“We knew Gor’s strengths before the match, but from the performance I can say were more technically and tactically superior than them. We capitalized on each and every blunder they made. I was also pleased with our fitness level.”
Last year during the CECAFA cup, the KCCA coach claimed before the opening match that he knew Gor Mahia’s weaknesses and knew exactly how to beat them. Some of this stems from the fact that KPL matches are televised in several countries courtesy of supersport. This means that Gor Mahia videos are readily available for coaches who wish to study them.
However assistant coach Frank Ouna has urged fans not to read too much into the results.
“As much as people are over analyzing the results, there is much more than just the results. I know it hurts, but never bother about the result particularly in the preseason, it’s about preparations.” said Ouna.

Injuries

Assistant coach Frank Ouna states that the team is already suffering a mini-injury crisis. Musa Mohamed suffered a serious back injury when Gor Mahia toured the coast. Midfielder Eric Ochieng also picked up an injury.
Coach Ouna also says that the absence of certain players has hindered the team from settling on a starting line-up.
“We are yet to settle on the starting lineup because quite a good of the players are still out. Karim, Abouba and Meddie are still in Rwanda, while others are recovering from injuries,” he said

  • Where is Walusimbi? Nobody is talking about him. We are not told he is in Uganda, has an injury or any other reason. Wapi Walu Walu?

  • Walusimbi is nursing injury. Something that makes me angry is the cancellation of a repeat friendly against Dynamo that was scheduled for Saturday 7th and othe cancelled matches against Ugandan sides. So there’s extreme importance playing Muho and Sony in Kisumu than playing different teams with different tactics? The two teams we’ll play in Kisumu are premier league sides that we’ve tackled before I don’t see any new challenge there but if it will help the team though then no objection. Continental ties needs more than average.
    My view.

How & when did Walu Walu get injured.

I think the arrest and conviction of one Boaz Okello is a step in the right direction. What remains is for this guy to be profiled and billboarded (as suggested by Barefoot Bandit) to serve as a deterrent to such behaviour.
Interesting point is that when the stewards decide to act and complain something happens.
Who controls these stewards none other than the EC so the buck actually stops with the EC.
Let them coordinate with the police to secure safety inside the stadium and leave the cops to arrest goons outside the stadium.
The EC is quite funny, “they have signed the likes of Karim, Abouba and Meddie who are still in Rwanda”.

Why, Why, Why we’ve seen mega stars signed in bigger leagues and they report for training immediately.

Also which Musa Mohamed was seriously injured in Mombasa and which Musa Mohamed played against Power Dynamo?
Ouna is fast the becoming an expert issuing one lame excuse, after another now more fashionably called “picking the positives”

How I wish we played Dynamos again and one other team, say Sofapaka over the weekend. Anyway I believe the coaches know better
