Ze Maria not yet happy, calls for improvement

Gor Mahia’s Brazilian tactician is not satisfied despite recording his second win in his second game. He was especially unimpressed with the way Kogallo played in the first half.

“It was a good win against Thika United, they are a good team and they played well. It was difficult for us at first, but in the second half we came back rejuvenated and managed to win the game. But I was not impressed with the way we played the game, I want us to play good football which impresses everybody, that is my main aim,” he said to goal.com.

The coach and fans will however be happy with the much awaited appearance of Jacque Tuyisenge who is having a dream start. Even Olunga and Kagere did not score 3 goals in their first two games. In fact Olunga could not score early on.

Also notable is that full back Karim Nizigiyimana has found in Tiyisenge, a viable target for his accurate crosses. This was missing early in the season since Agwanda, Keli and Blackberry are not noted for their aerial power. Neverthless, Ze maria insists that the attack needs more work.

“We shall work on that in our training sessions and I hope we will win matches beautifully and play football as it should be played.” he said.

The only worry is jausenge is prone to injury. We need 2 more lethal strikers.

With JA Usenge. Walu Walu, Agwanda and Omino out of this week’s game I hope Keli and Wafula will take advantage and prove us wrong. And by the way I wish we could get our former player Wycliffe Opondo back to bolster our offensive midfield. He looks mature and a complete player now. with the financial position of Sofa getting him cannot be so hard. Alll the same we still need to beef our offensive as a first priority , even before CECAFA in Zanzibar

Dan Original I think you are out of your mind on Opondo. We have young players who are better than your opondo. You believe very much in recycling of players.
