Zico’s tenure as national coach extended
Gor Mahia coach Zedekiah Otieno “Zico” who recently led the national team to 4th place at the Nile Basin football tournament, has been given an extension to his tenure as national tam coach. Citing the need for continuity, the Harambee stars board chairman Evans Kidero asked Zico to continue in his current position.
Zico will now have the difficult task of balancing club responsibilities with national team responsibilities. Prior to this , Zico was assistant coach to Jacob Mulee and Twahir Muhiddin. He had previously functioned as assistant coach to Bernard Lama.
The goverment should hire a highly qualified foreign coach and let Zico be his assistant. One thing is for sure, Gor will not let him go…
Congrats to him for doing a good job.
I agree with Saimz.. Stars need a foreign coach. Uganda is prospering because rtheir coach is better then the Kenyan coach. Zico can learn a lot if he is the assistant to a qualfied foreign coach with a good record
Woud Gem,i feel proud 4 u in national team as head coach but take responsiblty in Gor Mahia let the Kidero’s team hire a foreign coach.we need u more in Kogalo
How will Zico juggle between Harambee Stars and Kogalo? It is difficult and I do not think his 100% committment to Harambee Stars will help our Kogalo team anyhow!!
Evans Kidero is a AFC supporter so he is trying to sabotage Kogalo
I wish zico all the best but kogallo must not let him go by all means. He is making the club and country proud!
Zico should forget about Harambee Stars and concentrate on Kogalo.
We are almost to start the season yet we have not had about our bus what happened with the bus that was being bought for the team
Rachier kindly put us fans in light before the kick off of the league
