Boniface Oluoch pens 3 year deal

Goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch has extended his stay at Kogalo by three years. The three year deal is a tad surprising considering that Oluoch had a season that was poor by his typically high standards. However the other goalkeepers in the squad did not inspire much confidence. Indeed the entire country of Kenya is now in the midst of a goalkeeping drought the likes of which has not been seen in decades.

Additional reporting from Citizen Sports.
Custodian Boniface Oluoch has penned a new three-year deal with champions Gor Mahia which should keep him at the club until October 2021.

By signing a new deal, Oluoch joins Wellington Ochieng who has also renewed his contract for a further three years.

Oluoch has been an important cog for K’Ogalo but has found his play time come under threat of late with Fredrick Odhiambo giving him a run for opportunities.

By committing his future to K’Ogalo, Oluoch will have to work extra hard to dislodge Odhiambo who was outstanding in the few matches he played.

Meanwhile, Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier says they are in the process of recruiting more players, but failed to elaborate on the actual targets.

‘”We are not going to sign high profile players because of our financial situation. We will therefore sign affordable players to avoid embarrassment in future,” said Rachier.

Rachier’s remarks come in the wake of the return of midfielder Kenneth Muguna and former Tusker and Singida left back Shafique Batambuze.

The K’Ogalo fans will be anticipating a better season which begins in December. Gor , having clinched a 17th league title, will be competing on three fronts namely the Caf-Champions League, the league as well as the FKF-Shield, and will require squad depth to challenge on all the fronts.

I have said it before, It’s fake news ! Period . With the current internal wrangles and squabbles not sure who is saying the truth…
One EC says to your face contract not to be extended, another says the opposite …I once witnessed a very embarrassing situation when one EC official engaged the other questioning how many players his colleague has recruited !

Until it is confirmed from the horses mouth ! It’s fake…only emergency AGM can get rid of this lawless situation

A multinational company sponsoring Everton, Torino among others sponsors Gor and still Rachier says there is no money. Even if Qatar airlines, Fly Emirates or Ettihad offers sponsorship there will still be no money, impunity of the highest magnitude. Recycle Oluoch regardless of his current form and buy other rejected players then expect to compete in Caf championship matches! Impossible, Gor will participate but cannot compete in international arena.

Despite his current tribulations Oluoch still remains one of Kenya’s best keepers and i am one of the few people who are happy at this news. On the same subject Mathias Kigonya has left Sofapaka on mutual agreement. Do you guys think he will be a wise buy?

oluoch is one of the best though not the best at now, though I would still go for farouk in place of shaban then on the left back kipyegon of zoo would compliment batambuze effectively on the centerhalf benard ochieng of vihiga is still my choice if not maurice ojwang of western stima the lads are better off and upgrades our current captain and joash…. then on the midfield am still upset mbona TB haingemleta duncan of AFC, why pay 4m signing fee besides high salary for a player who has been out of competetive matches for almost 6months and miss paying 5m signing fee for a player of the same roture?????? sawaaaa wacha tungoje tutaonaaa penye tutafika na hiii mediocre illicit minds, still we lack a holding midfielder wendo is no more, miaka inamlemea besides his ugali-type of football is nolonger bestured in todays success football…. though I stand to be corrected… kuna the likes of toby(locally) better fits the likes of cercidy mieno and ondieki are good but he is better than them in the position….in the striking department getting an international wud be an uphill task but still there exists solutions, btw If TB would get either kapaito and, or nyakeya still it would be a bargain tusienge somehow needs an upgrade…..

TB kindly do something on the signing of GOR_CALIBRE players na let go the mediocre ones, wale wa subbotage tunawachungulia tu….
