Gor Mahia take on Sofapaka at Kisumu

The Wednesday match between Gor Mahia and Sofapaka will be played in Kisumu according to the Daily Nation.

Sofapaka are in 9th position on the table and are having a dissapointing season. But coach Polack is not taking any chances.

“Matches at hand are tricky at times and we need to make the two that we have count. All KPL teams up their game when facing us and I know Sofapaka will be no different. We have however prepared well for this fixture and I am optimistic we will get a positive result,”  he said to the Nation.

Polack has proven many times that when given time to prepare the team, he can deliver excellent results. A victory will put Kogalo atop the standings.

Sofapaka coach John Baraza lamented dropping two points to Chemelil Sugar in their most recent match

“We didn’t have a good outing away in Muhoroni against Chemelil. We didn’t play well in the first half of the match that largely affected our game plan. In the second half they scored the equaliser and defended solidly, locking out all our attempts,”

The match kicks off at 3pm according to the league portal.
