Gor Mahia transfer news December 30 2017

Good luck John Ndirangu

John “Softie” Ndirangu has been released by Kogalo. This was confirmed by CEO Lordvick Aduda.

“We have released Ndirangu because his performance was way below what we expected from him last season. We cannot guarantee him playing time because of the signings we have done and have agreed that he gets a new club.” Aduda told goal.com

Ndirangu who is 22, first came to prominence at Nakuru All Stars where his silken on the ball skills wowed KPL fans. He later played for AFC Leopards before joining Kogalo in December of 2016.

Two promising players who joined Gor Mahia in 2017 but were unable to gain playing time will be loaned out. Striker Jeconiah Uyoga will join Nakumatt FC while full back Maqbul Mohammed will play for Wazito FC next season.

Maqbul joined Gor Mahia in December 2016 after an impressive display in the Super 8 tournament. He was seen as a potential replacement for Eric Ouma “Marcelo” who was departing for Georgia. But he has been unable to get playing time.

Uyoga played for TUK in the Super 8 tournament and was impressive as well. But he found the going tough at Kogalo because the numerous proven goal-scorers on the team.

Joining Gor Mahia for the 2018 season is Okeyo Cassidy Lumumba from Tusker.

“We have signed Cassidy from Tusker. He has joined our team on a three year contract. We want to do well in continental scene hence the decision to beef up our squad with quality players.” said Aduda to goal.com

I agree we need to have a huge squad to compete on all fronts.however,am not sure how we are going about releasing and signing players.perhaps the EC has a plan so am eager to see how it puns out.
As for the cercidy okeyo sighing am not too sure if it’s the right move..but he may just surprise me.let all new players prove their worth and let them be given time to show if they are Gor material or not.

Jakoyo your Almighty Legendary is to blame for our 10+ years financial structureless sojourn that has rendered gate collections non-existent such that without sponsors we are financially Quagmired and stuck….

Has Sportpesa given a tentative date when they will withdraw? A squad of thirty is the ideal number considering all the games we will play this year.
I think Sportpesa is trying to blackmail the govt. To me what they should do is ro stop sponsoring HS and other national bodies since that is the govt responsibility

  • Gor should be looking for a sponsor, officially Or may be not officially 31st January is already being mentioned as the last date

  • Exist plan for sportpesa was already there 6 months ago every club and federation was informed of dire consequences of the tax bill and well soon or later it was to come to reality. The gov’t wants to kill it and nobody is ready to fight for them ….now solutions
    1.membership
    – sell the Barcelona model to every one convince them that the money is not only going to improve the performance of the club buh also development in squad and infrastructure
    2.partnership
-Go for the likes of safaricom or airtel, insurance . This is to sponsor 2 or three star players . Go for likes of sonko that lifts burden on the wage bill
    3.gate collection
    – partner with a banking cooperation and use Modern day technology to secure the code of the ticket and also improve the transparency in Ec and also advice the club on investment ideas and controll of the clubs bugdet..
    4.champions league
    – group stage can sponsor the team for 2 seasons 1,4 finals can only just get better
And finally begin implementing the new constitution with openess and begin devicing plans to at least bring in private investors.

I don’t know much about this Limumba but still believe Ndirangu should not have been released. Why was Maqbul signed then not used while was in the radar of very many other clubs. Uyonga was never used at any point how do you know how good a player is if not given an opportunity. Some players who have been released played so well when they were in TZ. e.g. Maloba am surprised that Mugiraneza is still in the squad.

Maloba is due to udergo some trials so we have been made to understand. He is still our player umil when signs on the dotted lines for another club.
