Trophy ceremony and Roadshow this Saturday

Gor Mahia official Judith Nyangi has released the program for this weekend on the club’s social media pages:

This was her post:

Friday 17th: Kisumu roadshow
Saturday 18th: morning hours Wuontimbe arrives by air to stadium.
Musa Jakadalla entertainment from 10am.
Match kicks off at 2pm.
4.15 trophy presentation.
Gate charges 600 (main stand). 300 (terraces).

Gor Mahia will be playing SoNy Sugar at Moi stadium Kisumu on Saturday.

CEO Ludocvick Aduda explained why Kisumu was chosen.

“Since Nyayo Stadium is under construction, we have Kisumu registered as our alternative match venue and in this case, we thought that is the most suitable venue for the big day,” Aduda told The Standard Sports.

Aduda also pleased with fans not to run into the field

“It will be a big day for the players and technical staffs and we are humbly requesting fans to give them good space and time to enjoy their moment because ahead of the achievement, there were indeed a lot of sacrifices from the team and it will be an important moment in their football career. To give them easy time to take pictures and enjoy with their families if they like will be the most appropriate thing. Fans can join later on after they have had their moments,” he added.

Jodalawa, its not yet time to celebrate. Its time to plan. Jothurwa, KPL is a small Omena, lets hunt the mbuta. Jasego take the mantle and lead.

Awinji Thura but let us take merry kidogo on saturday then go headlong into the crux of the matter which is re-inforcing the strike force and midfield with a dynamo and maestro respectively..

Yes but let us celebrate because the win is out of great effort by everyone, celebrate what you have in hand, let the whole world know even as you prepare for the big one

I think celebrating is in order. Mind you a lot of the current players have never won a championship in their life. So it is a big issue for them as it also gives them a bargaining chip in their future careers. As pleaded by the CEO let the players and their families enjoy the moment.
On recruitment we have a big challenge, we need to strengthen almost every section of the team to be able to compete favorably in Africa.
For pre-season practice sessions we can start by honouring the Annual Mapinduzi Cup. We have always given it a wide berth. We can then visit Sudan and UG like we did before the start of this year league

I wonder whether the good office value the in put of fans in the club. Its simple mathematics that the lower the gate charges the more people will see kogalo playing. Gor might end up having fewer people watching the match and a crowd outside the stadium. Management 600/= and 300/= yawa for a celebration?

It always beats me why EC insists on exorbitant ticket prices (for the local fan/football) which coupled with fake ticketing results in paltry gate collections. The consequences are the now frequent & embrassing non payment of the winning bonuses, then disruptive go slows which the players rightful resort to as a final action to get bloated EC to pay them their entitlements. As I have always said, why not simply charge 100bob for the terraces, attract 10k Russians netting kes.1M. Next charge 300/400bob for VIP attract 2K fans & net kes.800k. Total gross collection for 17 games is kes.30.6M or 1.8M/game but also at least 12k fans attending our home matches. More funds generated to pay winning bonuses etc. MORE FANS + REASONABLE TICKET PRICES MEANS MORE REVENUE FOR GMFC. From Aduda’s statement, peculiar only to GMFC, you get A HINT of the dismissive attitude towards the fans. Celebration of GMFC’s victories are as much due to the commitment and steadfastness of fans who follow our team wherever.

exorbitant prices is to deter goons, bhan smokers and idlers from patronising the stadium and harassing good wishers. As for musa jakadallah….hehehe, .I love this one, wish i could see more of jokadala in kogallo matches
