Kogalo end tour with a tie

From futaa.com

Gor Mahia ended their Nyanza tour in a draw against Gem Combined at the Bondo University grounds after a largely successful six days in which the club aimed at meeting the fans, identifying raw talent for development and taking football to the grassroots.

Successful tour

Dimonde Selenge scored his third goal of the tour in the first half but Gem Combined rallied to equalize in the second half to ensure they share the spoils in a tour that the club’s officials and players have all termed as successful.

End year party

Gor mahia will now head to their chairman’s residence in Gem Ahono for the end year party as they mark an end to a year that has seen ups and down for the club that finished in position four but bagged the FKL Cup which booked their ticket to the CAF Confederations cup tournament.

  • Admin, we need to turn these trips into recruitment of members drive and sale of club merchadise. I can see lots of opportunities to build the club financial base in these events and admin should explore these opportunities.

We are willing to help and the team should also make entourage to my home town Voi, Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, Malindi and Lamu. There are very many Kogalo fans throughout the country.

  • WHAT A WAY TO END THE YEAR!

The curtains have finally come down on K’Ogalo whirlwind tour of Nyanza in what others term as an annual ritual ceremony.

The assurance given by the officials that all the objectives of the tour have been met is encouraging news. I am sorry I will not attend the end of year party courtesy of the president at his rural home in Gem. For those of you who got an opportunity, my best wishes. Mjienjoy.

I do hope the tour have given the boys an opportunity to gel and psched for daunting task ahead of them. As a loyal fan, I am equally looking forward to give my club unflinching support throughout the coming season.

  • Am deliberately repeating this fellow bloggers. Let us make all these efforts and wonderful proposals to Admin. Gor Mahia belongs to all of us fans and if we can borrow leaves from teams like Barcelona that was not having barca sponsored jersey for very many years used to raise their revenues through sale of their merchadise.

Yes, I know we can make it big for our club.

Admin please let us have forum to discuss how we can make Gor Mahia to have a sustainable financial model that will be supported by sale of club merchadise and timely renewal of membership fees.

If in the first year we can target fan base of 50,000 registered members and sale of 60,000 replica jerseys at a margin of Kshs.1,000 each and other related paraphanilias, then we would be able to pay our players well, build a club house, have our own stadia, build strong youth academy in all age categories, open distribution outlets for sale of our original merchadise, own a TV/radio station etc
