Dirkir Glay moves to South Africa

Gor Mahia’s Liberian defender Dirkir Glay has joined South African top tier side Mpumalanga Black Aces. This according to Liberian soccer.com. Glay who is named the “the Tractor” by the Liberian press for his uncompromising tackling, was instrumental in Liberia’s recent 1-0 win over Tunisia. He recently agreed with Chairman Ambrose Rachier to terminate his contract by mutual consent.

The South African side also recently signed another Liberian Kpah Sean Sherman. Each South African side can sign 5 players. The Black aces now have Congolese Limbikani Mzava , Zambian Collins Mbesuma, Ghanaian Kwabemi Adusei. Glay becomes the 5th foreigner.

Glay who joined Gor Mahia this season from Thika United has been a rock in the middle of the Gor Mahia defence. Prior to Thika United, he played for Watanga in the Liberian league.
