Gor Mahia confident ahead of tie

Gor Mahia coach Bobby Williamson is oozing plenty of confidence ahead of the team’s return leg match of Caf Champions League against US Bitam of Gabon.

Gor Mahia won the first leg 1-0 and Williamson has vowed to score another goal during Saturday’s match so as ‘to make it impossible for our opponents to recover.’

“Despite the slim advantage, we still have a very good chance to make it to the next round. I believe my players can still score another goal and then we make it difficult for our opponents to recover because they will need to score three times.

“I do not think a home-ground advantage will help them as we go all out to attack and defend our narrow lead,” the Scottish tactician told goal

Williamson confirmed that injured players Kevin ‘Ade’ Omondi and Timothy Wanyonyi have not recovered yet and will not be part of his weekend plans.

Jerim vows to keep clean sheet

captain Jerim Onyango says the team is ready to end a string of poor results at continental stage when they take on US Bitam on Saturday

Gor Mahia captain Jerim Onyango says his team will be out to end a poor run of results that has followed the team in away matches when they take on US Bitam on Saturday.

The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions have always come back home with a sack of goals in the last two continental fixtures but Onyango believes they can end this on Saturday.

“We are looking at not only qualifying for the first round but also to keep a clean sheet. It is something we have struggled to do but believe we can turn around the tables this time around,” he told Goal.

Gor Mahia left the country on Thursday via Kigali to honor Saturday’s match. Gor Mahia carry a 1-0 lead from the first leg.

I repeat Jagoal your high balls to our not so tall but deadly strikers does not help our game. I’ve also noticed that this heightens whenever GM falls behind whereby you seem to forget the football is a ninety minute game.
Therefore my appeal to you is to apply calmness in a measure equal to your confidence.
God forbid should the game reach penalties then graciously give Juma a go.
That said best of luck this should be but a routine victory. Dress rehersal for rematch against Esperance.

update from bitam, update from bitam……………..The players have left the playing venue, about 40 mins ago after afternoon training for the hotel! The mood in the camp is high however there is a strong feeling that kogallo will qualify on away goal rule.

Locals here do not think much of the club especially after the former coach was unceremoniously dismissed a few months back. I don’t expect more than 5000 people at the stadium tomorrow, so advantage kogallo.

    More updates to follow.

Jakoyo has been an impostor for a very long time. Am just wondering what kind of this man called Jakoyo? Which planet does he lives in? Shame on him for his poor posting? He is really irrelevant in all his postings and misleads fellow bloggers.

I had also issue with bloggers who are misrepresenting facts. I do not not understand what they are looking for by misleading us.
