King Faisal petition FIFA over Logarusic

From supersport.com

Gor Mahia’s new tactician Croatian Zdravko Logarusic might have elicited great admiration and passion from the kogalo followers who have been yearning for change after his acqusition but he might have left bitter memories back in Ghana.

Ghana’s second tier team King Faisal have reportedly petitioned Fifa on the conduct of the Croatian whom they accuse of snubbing the Ghanain team just days after reaching an agreement that did not translate from pen to paper this is according to Ghanaweb.

The King Faisal chief executive Vincent Sowah was reported to have said they brought the coach to Ghana and therefore incurred expenses that included air fare and accomodation but the coach instead changed his mind and signed a one year deal with Gor Mahia.

Logarusic is a qualified Uefa pro license holder with other diplomas from both Australia and Croiatia. He was sacked in the 2011-2012 season by Ashanti Gold after a string of poor results but also helped steer the team to second place in 2010 -11 season in the Glo sponsored Ghana Premier league .

Logarusic had previously coached King Faisal between 2009 to 2010 as he helped them fight off relegation.

Logarusic is expected to steer Gor Mahia to greater heights and help the, out of their unimpressive run this season.

King Faisal is locking the stable after the horse has bolted! These are issues they should have sorted out with Zdravko in the 2010-2011 season.

Honestly Gor Mahia does not need this kind of distracting noise right now.

Someone please respond to the question raised by Creative Village about players’ injuries as it is a genuine concern of many. Kevin Ochieng’, Hugo Nzoka, Lavatsa and even Lucky Dube are MIAs. Any information?

@ Jackowili, Hugo Nzoka played on Sunday as a substitute in the second half. Lavatsa has already recovered from his previous injuries and the bench is trying to re-introduce him back into active play as witnessed during our last mid-week match against Rangers. It is Kevin “Master” Ochieng who is yet to be declared fully fit and free from his injury.

As for the tug of war between King Faisal and coach Zdravko I can not comment anything at the moment, perhaps our DIVA @Eblazing who is more knowledgeable with Ghanian soccer politics, would be in a position to guide us as to what might have transpired behind the scenes to cause the unfolding developments.

i agree with Sir jerry. no evident that shows Zdravko Logarusic breached any law by not agreeing with King Faisal.
let them look for another reason or they should just look for another coach.

Our current record on the KPL stands at one win, three loss and three draw. We are lying slightly above the relegation zone at position 12. A win against mathare will condemn them to the bottom position but a loss will mean that we reverse our position to them.

The league is slowly taking shape with the top contenders being separated by 3 points and where the current leaders are a head of us with 14 points clear though one we have one game at hand.

So far most teams are through with half of fixtures accounted for first leg. That implies that after playing Mathare shall have covered 25% of the total fixtures for 2012 of which the maximum points for 100% win is 24 points. If we can rediscover our winning ways then we shall reap a maximum of 9 points after 25% of our total fixture. This translate to 37.5 % out of 100% and then we can kiss bye to the first quarter of KISIRANI.

If GM can achieve a possible 65% from the remaining three quarter fixture then that will translate to 49 points in addition to 9 points then we shall sum up with 58 points. That with the range of lifting the KPL trophy. AFC are aiming at collecting at least 33 points from the first quarter and they can relax and gather another 25 point in the second round to lift the title.

This is the mathematical advantage we can use to urge our team forward tomorrow with the self belief that we not yet out of the title contention. LET GO GOR MAHIA.
