Gor Mahia names final squad for 2020-2021

Gor Mahia have released a squad that on paper looks more formidable than the 2019-2020 squad. This bodes well for the Africa champions league. Also the fact that the team has had time to train together bodes well for the prospects. This comes as a surprise because in April, Chairman Ambrose Rachier announced that the teams budget was going to be reduced by 40%.

    They need 5 goalkeepers why?

Exactly why have a bloated squad with our history of difficulties in paying players.
Some will never be fielded even in friendlies like “Clinton Okoth” who has now left for Wazito.
Are these the players who “share salaries with officials”. In each GMFC squad there are 5/6 such “players”.
The goalkeeping department is worrisome given that Boni is “over the hill” while the rest will have to catch very fast for CAF.

I still think TM Jolawi Obondo is the problem, he has overstayed, prefers quantity rather than quality which does not bode well for the CAF CL campaign.

Ronack went to nzoia. I thought he would step up and become a first team player but I guess he may not be as good as I was expecting.
