Players / Officials react

IN the aftermath of the 8 player exodus, coach Zdradvko Logarusic has sought to explain his decision. He believes the club will benefit by reducing the playing staff from 33 to 25.  benefit the team because uit wil allow the coaching staff to focus on fewer players. According to him, it will enhance competition amongst players and make space for newcomers.

Vice Chairman Faiz Magak has indicated that the players will be paid their full dues for the months of April and May,.

Meanwhile Humphrey Mieno has denied that he has been approached by the club , contrary to rumours.

According to futaa.com, Dan Makori has no regrets about leaving the club. “Though, I am glad for what they made me to be today, I know talent is inborn and nobody can snatch it away from me; football is just like a bicycle even after missing it for a certain period you can’t forget riding.

– I am now breathing a sigh of relief, I have not been comfortable at the club but they will live to remember what I have done for them, Makori told futaa.com.

As for Anthony Otieno Nyangor, he feels that the club never gave him a chance. He has not been fielded at all since Logarusic appeared.

Indeed the youngstar should probably have been give sometime to prove himself.  His performance in that Kisumu friendly cannot have been a fluke.  He may have innate but raw talent which if groomed properly can bloom. But again perhaps Logarusic is looking only for complete players since his contract ends after only one year and he has no motivation to build for the future.

Nyangor expressed shock at the termination of his contract but he is confident that he will bounce back. “I had trials at AS Roma so I am sure I have talent” said he.

  • This is a good move. I always knew Makori would go from day1, high work rate low efficiency, infact majority of the sacked players suffered this predicament. Look at Kitawi, low work rate high efficiency. Nyang’or should have been loaned as well, but for the games against Thika and Muhoroni,he was another hard worker with low efficiency. The coach has less time to groom raw talent, but the team should have loaned the youngster. My only pain is Gattuso; he should have been given second chance..forgiveness is a virtue. Fans, let us do our job; to support and motivate the players at low and high times constantly. Let us change the office when necessary; for now back to the stadium, let us not mind suffering 1 or 2 more defeats in the month, the future may be brighter.

  • so all along we were payingto see WHAT? Makori, Selenge? we need refunds if this is the quality GOR EC was providing for as. Did you need an odiero to tell you. Now you know it and you are ready to pay them.

The coach has a free hand because his contract termination would be more expensive for the club so the players are being sacrificed(just a theory) but I think it is a move in the right direction

I don want to go into their contracts but the EC says they will pay the players for two months. Did they sign for six months or some for 1 to years meaning they got to compensate for breach of contract? I need to be educated there cos it can really be expensive. I also thought they were taken thru this process of termination in a human way only to learn that they were being called only to find a termination letter. Thats not how to treat players who have been holding fort for this club. This kind of treatment can only intimidate the prospective and current players. Even guys who are to be retrenched or those to undergo HIV TEST are given some counselling. Lets do things in a more human way.

This players should blame themselves for not consulting wider prior to signing their commitment on a legal binding document.

It clearly states that either party can terminate the contract by either giving one months notice in advance or pay one months salary in lieu of notice.

So the EC will pay both APRIL and MAY since the contract has been terminated as from 01/05/2012 period!

As for GATTUSSO let him just go and settle else where as much as he has apologized. He will poison other players with wrong attitude and in sub-ordination.

For sacked players as much as i equally feel sorry for them but there are some management decision that you do not require second thought however in-human people will perceive them.

Remember that players work under and to deliver for the coach who is answerable to GM stake holders. So if you can work better for me you have to ship out urgently.

THE COACH KNOWS THAT POOR PERFORMANCE WILL ULTIMATELY SEND MOST FANS AWAY ENDING IN LOW GATE COLLECTIONS.
    WE ARE IN BUSINESS BLOGGERS SUCH THAT OUR FAITH AND MONETARY CONTRIBUTIONS IS NOT FOR GRANTED UNLESS JUSTIFIED BY RESULTS.NO MORE BABY-SITTING IN K’OGALO;

THE COACH IS APPLYING MANAGEMENT THROUGH PROPER INTIMIDATION OF PLAYERS AND HENCE FORTH THE REMAINING LOT HAVE NO OPTIONS OTHER THAN TO DELIVER. THOSE FOND OF CHEWING MIRAA AND HAVING A DRINKING SPREE WILL NOW WAKE UP KNOWING VERY WELL THAT K’OGALO HAS NO ROOM FOR JOY-RIDERS OR PROTECTION FROM EC GOD-FATHERS/MEDDLERS.

  • Yes a squad of 25 is ideal not the bloated expensive 30,this coach may or may not deliver on the pitch(tactically/technically lets give him till sept) but certainly structure/management wise u can’t fault him coz he’s eliminating with ruthless efficiency all the rot that was deeply embedded in our beloved GM sorry 2 say by Ziko!

That type of Gatuso was only tolerated in Gor as “nyathi ot” but he must change or else he’s going nowhere.
Makori was good then but he started rusting, running with the ball but cannot think at the same time.
Balotieno and Hugo were overrated, doido kando we must perform.
Even at work if you don’t perform what else do you expect, let us now move on.
