Rachier: Gor Mahia to hold elections by Jan 31

courtesy of goal.com

Rachier insists nothing will change as far as the process of conducting the same is concerned only that they will look for a secure and enclosed venue

Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has assured club faithful that the club will hold elections before January 31 after last weekend’s exercise aborted due to crowd trouble.

Rachier insists nothing will change as far as the process of conducting the exercise is concerned only that they will look for a more secure and enclosed venue.

Football Kenya Federation through President Sam Nyamweya on Monday gave the incumbent office a 30-day period to put their house in order, maintaining the status quo.

“We will sit down with the other members of the executive committee and make a decision on a new election date,” Rachier told Goal.

“We will change nothing as far as the process is concerned. On Saturday, no one complained that the process was flawed. The election was only stopped by a few individuals who were drunk and had sensed defeat. There were almost three thousand quiet people waiting for the election to take place.

“Security will definitely be tightened and we will hold elections in an enclosed place where people will just walk in and walk out after voting. Not an open place like we did last weekend which gave rowdy people leeway to cause mayhem.”

Sawa AR but remember its time to apply the swahili adage,”tenda wema ,uende zako”!
You have brought the club this far ,let others move it further.

  • This is directed to AR & GB. GB I did hear u proposing that we change the constitution so that we elect only the chairman & the chairman will appoint his comittee. I do suport that idea & I have talked about it & I think we should do that b4 we go 4r that elections. we should elect the chairman who should be called club president & his deputy. He will then be required to appoint the club CEO with a performance contract.Pls GB convince AR to think of that idea & call 4r a constitutional forum of GM .

AR you’ve hit the nail on the head. Just a few “human waste” r ruining this great club big time. Ok u will lock them out & get re-elected in an enclosed venue but how will you lock them out of the stadium 4 the K’galo games where they cause unimaginable suffering 2 both club & society.
Jakom we r most likely retaining u as chair but please don’t b narrow minded, despite the good u do ua opaque ways of administering GM is slowing progress at the club.

audited by a reputable firm & published. Imagine ua EC asserting that gate collections were less than 10m.
I had always had concerns abt election driven membership & candidacy of unknowns like Adedes & Faiz vs sober legends like Obwaka,Lule,Sianga & Makamu plus bloggers like Mwakio.
Though strangely only unknowns want 2 stand is it coz only they cn challenge flawed opaque processes?
SHAME ON AR THAT U CANT HANDLE A “FEW” THUGS & NOW U WANT 2 ORCHESTRATE UA RELECTION AT SOME SECRET LOCATION.

FINALLY LET MIGHTY GOR MAHIA BE ABOUT ENTERTAINING FOOTBALL, BEAUTIFUL GOALS AND WINNING TITLES NOT ABOUT PERSONALITIES B IT RACHIER, ADEDES ETC
PERSONALLY I WOULD RATHER HAVE A BOARD OF 5 DIRECTORS RUNNING K’GALO BT ELECTED ON A ROTATIONAL BASIS 2 IS TOO FEW.
FINALLY AR IN ADDITION 2 UA SECRET/SECURE LOCATION WE NEED TO VERIFY THE REGISTER OF MEMBERS & HAVE A KNOWN TRANSPARENT ELECTION BOARD.
ALL SAID MY OPTION 4 CHAIR IS BETTER THE DEVIL I KNOWN
    GOD BLESS K’GALO

There is a misplaced notion that the people vying for GM elections have just arrived from somewhere, i refute this because even at our constituencies and wards people get to be known at the election time not withstanding the period of residence, even the current EC members were never known until they came to the office.

I maintain that if its elections we are talking about then let there be a credible one or something close to that but chest thumping will just cost us peace as fans.

Yes, so and so may be our preferred candidate for now and doing things in a certain way that suits him for election or re election may be okay but GM is a public thing and mostly the war of election will be extended to the entire club for years..are we ready for this?

Fans, lets encourage AR to tone down, dialogue with the other aspirants, appoint an electoral body above board and have an election.

For now we have the league trophy and it would serve us well to at least make an impression at the CECAFA going into the CAF championship..war will not help us progress and mark you these guys are all playing politics and none of them is void of personal interest AR included but what about me and you?

When we are collecting less than 10m in a year it means something is wrong somewhere and without accusing AR for squandering the money surely we need to rethink strategies and systems collectively because someone is unfairly fleecing the club.

Hence to me these elections should not be a matter of winning and losing but GM leadership.

But anyway GM is for all of us.

People of high standing ovation in society reason soberly and act soberly;some of the incumbent never paid nomination fee, printer of the ballot papers colluded with incumbent in printing ballot papers without the names of other candidates except the name on the incumbent.Candidates should scrutinize the voters register, fee paid by all contestants and credible people to print new ballot papers.

Ooh Laa la..!!”GOR MAHIA HAS ITS OWNER IN ONE “AR”..!!

@ Kassam Mwivangano I really pity you guys who are still dreaming of a free and fair GM election.

POLE SANA NDUGU YANGU. JUST KUWA MPOLE KWANI GOR MAHIA INA MWENYEWE. “AR” WAS RE-INSTATED BY FKF AFTER THE BOTCHED ELECETION INSTEAD OF SAM NYAMWEYA APPOINTING A NON-PARTISAN BODY TO OVERSEE THE CLUB AFFAIRS AND ELECTION.

Let me repeat this once more LOUD & CLEAR for the doubting “Thomas” of this blog that there is no way one “AR” can fail to maximize the use of his office as the incumbent GOR and KPL Chair under the able guidance of FKF leadership(Sam Nyamweya)to use his secret weapons like the election procedure, date and venue to “RIG” himself back to the lead K’Ogalo.

THAT IS AN IMPOSSIBLE DREAM. HE WOULD RATHER DIE.

Even the die-hard critics of “executive community” like my comrade @ODUOR 12 have realized this game plan and accepted the verdict.

And let me advise those of us who are still calling for change and dancing in the tune of one Mr. ADEDE that this time round if you dare come to disrupt the “RIGGING” procedure you will face the force of the K’OGALO “HUMAN WASTE” branch.

    THIS IS KENYA AND GOR MAHIA FOR THAT MATTER ,SO I WILL NOT WASTE MY ENERGY TO DISCLOSE THE DETAILS AS OF NOW;

INFACT MAJORITY OF BLOGGERS HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THEY ARE JUST SUPPORTERS WHO CAN NOT INITIATE ANY CHANGE IN THE CLUB MANAGEMENT WHEN IT COMES TO ELECTIONS AND AS SUCH; GUYS BE REMINDED THAT “GOR MAHIA INA WENYEWE”.

PLEASE KEEP OFF “GM” ELECTION AND LET US FINISH THIS BUSINESS ONCE SO THAT WE CAN MOVE ON PEACEFULLY.

Credible elections….. yes i agree but this should not just be the process but even those contesting should be credible, people of integrity.
We at least know that somebody ferried drunkards to go and cause mayhem at saturdays elections. Such characters must be put at bay.
We know that there are no proper stractures in place but lack of stractures does not warrant such uncouth behaviuor.

    Dear Ko’gallo Fans,

As we prepare to vote in the new management of our beloved club to take charge, i believe it can only be fair to the funs/voters that we vote into
the office the people we undestand their intentions.

The only way we can know these candidates is through public vetting, where voters or members of the public are allowed to foward their petitions to the vetting committee as chapter 6 of our constitution demands.

In that way we will genuinely knw the intentions of the incoming office bearers and document them. The funs can also give their priority areas of concern to be addressed.

Its sad what happened during the last attempt to hold elections. It clearly shows that sme candidates were prepared to do anything to either win the election or
    destroy the club.

At this point i beg to be allowed to raise some issues/concerns that i have against one candidate. Mr. Eric Adede, and why i think he is not suitable
to hold any public office, either for the country or for a club.

    – I knw that mr. Adede is an international fraudster, who has defrauded the gvt of botswana millions of money, including private organizations and
individuals.he also disappeared with all the clients monies that were held in their trust account.

    – i knw that mr. Adede practised law in botswana using fake documents and certificates and this should be investigated.

    – I knw that mr. Adede was declared Prohibited Immigrant- PI in botswana and can never set foot there in broad day light. He can only go in under cover like the famous Chinedu…

    – I knw that mr. Adede has served jail terms in both botswana and south africa for both fraud and crime respectively including damage to property.

I also knw that he has pending cases in Bw & SA, where he was grantew bail and escaped.

I know tha mr adede is using fake tittle Dr. He should tel us where and when he studied for his phd and on what field.

I know that adede has fartherd several children in bw, SA & kenya, for whom he has denied responsibility.

It is also public knowledge for those who know him that through these fraudalent activities, he acquired lots of wealth, in Botswana, but came back to the country with literally nothing, as all the wealth was confisicated.

    – he used part of this money to hoodwink people, who voted him in as the chairman of Nam-Lolwe welfare association, an association of luos in botswana. He did nothing as chairman, and to date, no body knows where the documents are..

I can also confirm that adede has been having political ambitions to represent rangwe constituency or embakassi.

Well people, if this is the person who must take leadetship of our club, then we are headed nowhere.

Serious allegations though that’s what they remain to be. We seriously need to vet both outgoing and incoming office holders so that we don’t make the mistakes we have been making ever since. Iread from G. Bwana that Walusimbi might join us. At least some good news though that is what it remains to be

  • THE ONLY REASON WHY RACHEIR IS HANGING ONTO GORMAHIA
he being a senior Kenyan citizen ,being a lawyer the kenyan way having earned the way kenyan attonies earn his destiny was ,is ,will be elective politics and his base being gem , our guess is as good as his that the gem seat was never going his way due to reasons i will not dis cuss here so , with his ultimate goal still raw in his mind its only relevant thing to hang onto as he tries to wait for his opportunity in elective politics is gor mahia, so he has no interest whatsoever in the way forward for this club i pity @odur12, @mwakio and all the able bloggers who contribute positive ideas to help gor its more of music to a goat , we are broke , elections will be held in private . on hooliganism its a Kenyan society of mob siege where when you are to be beaten you have to be narrowed down so , even if we try so hard , its not going away anytime soon it has to start from top its also the only way kenyans are heard , the other day i was caught up in the act by future elite kenyan students that tells you how much this rot is here i propose active , positive engagement with our fans to help talk down our itchy group rather than CONTINUOUS CONDEMNATION THEY ARE SO GOOD AT CHEERING TOO SO WAY FORWARD IS lets talk to them, with the African way of organizing elections ,rachier will borrow from Robert mugabe , you cannot loose in an election you have helped organize and until death do you bad you will remain development conscious ,, let us have another person as gor chairman who can be more creative not using it as cash cow i rest my case

@Jb point noted and that is the gospel I have been trying to preach. It is next to impossible to beat AR out of his current position as GM CHAIR..!!

AR has the full backing of the likes of R.A.O(Patron of GM), Gordon Oluoch(Read Sports Commissioner) ,Sam Nyamweya (Read FKF President)and to make matters worse his kinsmen(Read JARO-SOJA&Co.)are the best mobilizers of our dreadful “Human Waste” branch; Then tell me guys if he is the appointing officer and financer for the so called “IELECTION OVERSIGHT TEAM”, how on earth can he loose the election? FOOD FOR THOUGHT?

  • Calling people Human Waste also is not good Mr Trailer because we all know there is no branch as such its like u r saying that those who wanted to vote AR are like human waste, the Jaro Soja u r saying have been a supporter of this great club for a long time if i can remember these r the people i used to see at the stadium those day when GOR was always fighting relegation in late 90s and early and mid 2000 before we AR came to our rescue so lets be sober please

@Erico Jarae that is the naked truth and you will attest to this fact that when it comes to GM elections it is always the candidates that can mobilize the tyranny of numbers in the name of hooliganism that will carry the day. “GOR INA WENYEWE..”HUMAN WASTE”..!!

It is official that all hooligans in GM are referred to as “HUMAN WASTE” in this blog; And that is why this cancer will never be cured as long as in the period of electioneering they will be required to do the needful.
